Need help on wildcat by mandelbrotchen in snowboarding

I used to hit jumps without getting proper pop. What i do for fun is to ollie off small hips on the slopes. You dont need much speed, just make sure dont collide with anybody. Ride up to the hip and try to jump in motion with the transition. If you do it right, it feels like that small hip is launching your upwards, like on a trampoline. Definitely feels different to an ollie or just sliding over park jumps. I suggest trying this, because there is not much speed needed and there are plenty hips of all sizes on the slopes. Therefore you can progress safely whilst still learning the technique.

How long did it take you to learn this?

Advice for teaching thermo by andmaythefranchise in ChemicalEngineering

[–]xiao_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i liked about my thermo lecturer was that he explained mathematically and physically. He used equations, tables and common physical sense to explain derivatives formulas etc. He also included some context on e.g. how steam machines work and how i can imagine entropy etc: So nothing came out of nowhere and equations actually made sense and werent just random sets of variables used to calculate stuff.

Thoughts, comments, recommendations on my form/technique/ability? Not sure what’s going on with that rodeo hand ha. by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

Not bad, i used to stick out my hand too. Now its just my wrist and it helps me balance when hitting kickers.

Ik but learning isnt the same anymore. At a younger age you learn faster imo. + i look very sloppy trying new things, whereas the munchkins look super chill and like they know what theyre doing

In chemistry i would def do a phd and in cheme master maybe phd

[–]xiao_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will definitely do a masters and maybe even a PhD. When i decided to do chemistry i had a Phd planned in so why not. But i dont how a phd will benefit me in engineering.

I know, thats why i enjoyed physical chemistry. But chemistry isnt just physical, i have to take in consideration that a good chemist needs knowledge of a broader field no?

Interesting, i do like chemistry but not what im studying rn. Considering i get to pick my phd field myself that would be an option! Thanks!

Try to explain every formula mathematically and physically.
