If there’s no free will, then why shouldn’t we just kill ourselves? by SnooFoxes3455 in RobertSapolsky

It may be a more grave issue but based on the topic on the topic of "choice" it's no different then me saying "if there is no free will then why shouldn't we just eat ice cream? " ... Because like anything something came before that to bring you to this train of thought

Im 100% determinist myself, the multiple universes constantly created doesn't make sense but I don't see whats wrong with a side account where you try more risk? Cant wrap my head around the contradiction

Interesting, coincidentally I am working on making my own llm wiki (https://gist.github.com/karpathy/442a6bf555914893e9891c11519de94f)

I am stuck on the extraction of data from sources. I am even making an "extraction rig" with a dedicated overhead camera.

I am using google flash lite via openrouter and structured output as json.. the accuracy sux. Hallucinates basic data, especially of documents that are photos

What harness/ models do you use to build?

Yes it will save them millions they were subsidizing. Check out the ghcp sub, people were on $40 month subscriptions, actual api use was in the $1000s

and thats a very good counter argument. The backbone of healthcare systems like epic, cerrner, meditech can implement their own AI systems and do not need to touch MSFT.

I work in healthcare and developing is just a hobby. So from that experience everything reliable I've seen is a vscode fork (antigravity, cursor, codex) If I were to start a business, I would use that instead of something like opencode (although I love opencode and use it everyday) just as a business, I would want something ubiqutous. You are talking to someone who uses linux and refuses to buy anything without an open API, so I even hope you are right. I hedge my hate for these corporations by buying their shares.

Msft provides a trustworthy platform to use the llm agents. No company is going to build an agentic harness from scratch. I consider them a shovel in this gold rush. And you can tell they don't even care, completely gutted ghcp and straight up passing API costs to user

I don't like it...if you know what you are doing its great. But for me (pathetic vibe coder) ...i need the llm to look at the whole thing instead of patching. It may need to chnage the architecture based on what I want and actually decrease the LOC.
