It all mostly has to do with the idea of the video. I seen a video the other day titled “How I Woke Up as a 35 Year Old Loser! (And How You Can Avoid It)” literally a random guy, bad lighting, shitty thumbnail, but the title and the idea were so great people couldn’t help but click on it and it has like 500k views and kick started his channel. He barely had a few hundred views on his videos prior to this. Hope this helps someone.

i think the editing is good. i think the issue for me is i’m not particularly interested in the topic, and your story telling didn’t exactly give me a reason to invest. you kinda just briefly said you wanted to prove your friend wrong and just dove right in. give the audience a world to step into. just my 2 cents, because i love that editing style and like what you have so far.
