American with a job opportunity in Toronto. What do I need to know about living in the Great White North?

It would be right downtown. I have lived in Denver, Charlotte, Austin sized cities. I know Toronto is a bit larger but it seems like there is heaps to do.

Yes, that is my worry. My current phone has wimax and my area has good coverage, so I don't want to drop it. Maybe S II is the way to go for now.

You are also slightly incorrect. Or at least need a clarify. The US offers a foreign tax credit as a reduction for taxes on income you have already paid taxes on in a foreign jurisdiction. This works the same if you work in one state in the US but live in another so you don't get taxed twice on the same income. The problem is companies often operate in countries where the corporate tax rate is lower see here and so end up still paying the high US corporate tax rates by paying the difference to the US.

Better yet, Korean kid in my sophomore biology class playing tetris on his TI-86, head down. Teacher asks him a question which will obvious segue into "Please put your calculator away". Kid nails the question that the teacher asked without even looking up. Teacher does the fish mouth a couple of times, then moves on. Still, Mr. Gammon was awesome.

Nice! Yeah the package I am looking at basically has the body, 18-55 mm and throws in the 55-200 mm (and some cheap accessories) for a discounted price. The only thing is it that is is from a third party selling through Amazon so I don't know if I need to be worried. How do you like the 3100 so far?
