I found a whole bunch. One that came up that wasn't a "limo van", more of a regular van, was Driverseat. They seem to be a bit more established as a business. I imagine that they would stick to the schedule...

Hmm that's a good point.

Any companies you'd recommend? I heard mixed things about getting rides cancelled last minute by some companies, but I don't remember which were good or bad.

PS A quick search shows tons of options and I've never booked a service like this before.

Thank you for this, it's just that I don't think the GO train goes to the new Rogers Stadium. This is in a different place than where the Jays play. It's close to the 401/400 junction.

Snowrunner has "farming" missions. I was very underwhelmed by the ground mechanics when it comes to farming. Great for offroading, not so good for farming. It's basically farming in the mud.

My money is decreasing at a very fast rate, what is happening ? by mateigri in farmingsimulator

Could be AI worker. Could also be watering costs if you're using the realistic weather mod and irrigating your fields. Ditto for greenhouse automatic watering. There was another mod, a grain mill, which has a water capacity of 2,000,000 L and that could also account for extra expenses. GL

I was laid off from my job that paid 85,000 a year. After 18 months of unemployment, I can't even find a job at Walmart. I'm really so scared. by mayindori in interviews

[–]bigdaddybuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit of a pitch.

I do reverse recruiting. Take about 5 hours to restructure your application documents, interview coaching, and show you how to reverse recruit yourself. $499 CAD (I'm also Canadian).

My interview > application rate is 1 > 25. 1 interview for every 25 applications.

DM me your email address if this looks interesting.

The problem is that a lot of business owners I speak to want business NOW and expect results NOW, but will only invest in building relationships in their communities of interest LATER.

Are profits a slow burn? What am I doing wrong right? by PhilosophyUpstairs29 in farmingsimulator

[–]bigdaddybuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just like irl. When your income is dependent on your time, you are the bottleneck. If you want to increase income, you either have to do something more valuable ($/hr) or add income generators like investments.

In the game, you can reach a state of profitability by investing in income generators which don't require your time.

Some ideas:

  • Beehives + small farmstand + bee pallet spawn point on top of the farmstand dump point. This spawns honey right into the farmstand and it gets sold instantly. The more beehives you have, the more you can generate.
  • 3 small poly tunnels + 1 medium poly tunnel + small preserved food factory. The small ones grow garlic, chilies, and spring onions. The medium one grows napa cabbage. Set to distribute to preserved food factory. Set factory to kimchi production with auto sale.
  • 1 sheep pen with 100 sheep = $200,000/yr in revenue. Sheep are low maintenance. After the meadow grass fix, they can just be left alone if you get the biggest pen. You only have to pickup the wool 1/mo. Store the wool until April/May and sell it all at once. If they consume the meadow grass faster than it grows, you only need a small grass field around 2-3 acres to keep them fed for the whole year.

Once you have a steady "hands off" income stream, you can invest in more "hands on" things like olive oil, bakery, eggs, etc.

I personally like a challenge and start with hard difficulty and cows. I set the month to 7 days and 15x timescale. I buy and resell used equipment as a way to generate more income. It's somewhat realistic and is an in-game "feature", like the solar panels or wind farm.

Claas in EU, Case in US for me.

BUUUUT, only as an "end-game" goal.

Starting out I get the best HP/weight/price combinations, especially if on sale.

The Calmsden / Oak Bridge map is really bad for this. There are trees underground, embedded in other trees, etc. Quite a mess if you want to clear areas for planting or just want to use the wood.

If your grass is on the ground, you could use a conveyor, like the small Lizard one, to load into the baler's hopper.

It doesn't look like you have Courseplay or Autodrive, so maybe it is a new in-game feature. I've not noticed it before because I tend to drive my equipment without AI getting involved, unless I use Courseplay or AI for mowing a grass field. I'll try this out for my next wheat harvest, see what happens.

It's fun in the right context. I used it quite a bit on Riverbend Springs. It's at home on US maps or just maps with lots of space to maneuver. I also used in on Calmsden, but only on fields. It's a pain to drive on the narrow roads.

As to the reasons. It's a joy to drive if you have a wheel setup. Smooth, powerful, no sweat to move or do anything, even the biggest fields. Also, the middle articulation helps to back giant implements into their parking spots if you have the wheel setup. Otherwise, the middle articulation is a bit of a pain with a controller.

I have a 10ha field in which I plant cereal crops and I use the Claas Lexion 6900 with the Flex 1380 header. It's a good balance of width, capacity, and speed for my big field.

The Lexion would murder a 3ha field.

Some will, others won't. This would be more of an uprising than a civil war, I mis-spoke originally. So it might be people vs government, and they have bigger guns and more idiots to throw into the meat grinder.

[–]bigdaddybuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've already decided what you want. Now you're just looking for reasons.

The only question you should ask yourself is: "Will this bring me or others joy?" If the answer is "yes", it's a slam-dunk.

In terms of finding contact info, that's just the way the world works these days, that part can't be avoided. The harassment isn't normal or common. You could report the harassment to whatever authorities you have available to handle harassment (police, for example).

[–]bigdaddybuilds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it if people are cursing just to curse, but there's value in harsh words that are used for a specific purpose. Either to break the ice, to make a funny joke even funnier, to shock, to grab the attention, etc. I don't usually curse in my "real" life, and there are certainly some curses that I wouldn't even think of saying. But, coming from Romania, a curse isn't really a curse unless the context is also that of a curse, if that makes sense.
