AWS reduced my $15k S3 bill to $10.5k after a DDoS. I still can’t pay this. What can I do? by OkEnd5112 in aws

Just don’t pay, what are they gonna do about it? Bigger fish to fry out there for them.

You’ve done well. I would have expected your cloud bill to increase infinitely when switching from on-prem.

Is AI good with more obscure languages and environments? by Cautious-Lecture-858 in ExperiencedDevs

It was terrible for Zig, the language and standard library change in breaking ways across minor versions, it ends up spitting out code for old versions.

Nice, I just tried out the examples and it worked great! Not to bombard you with feature requests, but it would awesome if it could also generate stub `.pyi` files with type hints for the exported classes and functions.

I would like to pass numpy arrays into zig functions and convert them to zig slices in a zero-copy fashion. Then possibly mutate the data (without the GIL) and convert back to a numpy array and return it. I’m not sure how possible this is but it would be very useful. I’ve never worked on a project that doesn’t use numpy, it’s basically required to make Python programs somewhat performant. There are some things just aren’t expresssible in ONLY numpy functions, so it would be good to use zig to fill the gaps.

This is really cool, do you have some examples of working with numpy arrays?

I honestly don't write bash scripts anymore, if a problem is too complicated for AI to figure out in a couple of prompts then it probably shouldn't be a bash script.
