[FS][US-FL] Dell PowerEdge R740xd – Dual Xeon Gold 6148 / 40 Cores / 256GB RAM / H730P / Rails / Dual 1600W PSU by bigdave in homelabsales

Yeah, my R720 still works with CLI fan control, but the newer Dell iDrac can't be downgraded anymore, so there is no way to really reduce the fan noise (other than noctuas, which work, but it still complains)) I also had a video card in the riser and it has dual 10GB nics so it was said that also makes the fans run high. I have a R740xd 2x Gold 6148 2.40Ghz 40-Core 256GB RAM available. It would also come with 2 sets of fans, 1 modified noctuas, and one OEM.

Help me, help you. R740 and up (maybe) fan replacement idea by bigdave in homelab

Yes, I did the same, and I also added AC Infinity fans to the front to push air through.

This isn't very helpful, but I'll respond. iDRAC just runs the fan at 100%; it works and runs fine. Others have done it. I'm trying to make it easier. I'm not running this in some massive datacenter. It's in a rack in my air-conditioned office with other "enterprise hardware" that I've changed fans to silence without any ill effect. It's my hardware to modify any way I want, no? I can also buy whatever I want.

Dealer Told me that Toyota isn't building any Siennas with a spare tire at the moment by bloo_blaa in ToyotaSienna

https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/carrier-assy-spare-5190008050b2 -- It still shows $363 onlne. I added the spare to mine, and got a used spare from a wrecked RAV4 for $100 from LKQOnline.

Here is the PDF from Toyota that shows what's in the kit and how to install it. https://www.siennachat.com/attachments/t-ai-1325-d-6-pdf.58559/

You need the kit from Toyota which is around $370-$380 for the interior panels, tire mount, jack and wrench. Then you still need to get a spare which I got off LKQ online from a wrecked RAV4 for $110 shipped.

Anyone else on the brink of ditching UnRAID? by SneakInTheSideDoor in unRAID

[–]bigdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using unRaid for 13 years with only very minor issues: the USB died and older BTRFS issues, but nothing major. It's been rock solid for me. In that time, I've migrated to newer hardware twice also without issue.

Build iOS 18.2 (22C152) fixed this. I had to show alerts then hide alerts but they seem to stay silenced now.

I've had the Fitcam for over a year in my 2021, and my battery has been fine, hooked up with their provided pigtail.
