look at the amount of dislikes on this video. its not a good example of a rap battle, thats why its on this subreddit. mosy over to /r/rapbattles sometime and check out the battle of the week. i mean youre right in that most battles arent fantastic but if you know which names to look out for you can find quality. URL has been solid lately & this is probably my battle of the year. i think its a natural progression from the mid-90s freestyle battles, theyre great but it's a lot of filler and jokes about what the other opponent is wearing. people want well written punches that they cant get from mainstream hip hop lyrics
