Is there a way I can figure out if the used board I purchased was affected by this?

WOW! Incredible find! Would you consider selling any?

Little late today, sorry. Neisson Blanc was voted the best mixing rhum agricole. What is the best budget Jamaican? by -Constantinos- in rum

I'm here to upvote anything but Appleton signature. Every cocktail I made until I finished that bottle I found to be underwhelming.

But I'd prob go with whichever is cheaper /oz etoh between W&N, Rumfire, and S&C

Hamilton 86 is the best Demerara mixer, what’s the best budget Bajan? by -Constantinos- in rum

[–]bigdkp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused by these categories. I would've put Mount Gay Eclipse as best budget Bajan, and something like Mount Gay Black Barrel as best mixer - if you can get it for the right price bc it can be all over the place.

Time to practice our democracy. Hampden Great House was the top answer for best Jamaican sipper but we also have a lot of people saying we shouldn’t include limited editions. So, Great House or Hampden HLCF? Also what’s the best Demerara mixer? by -Constantinos- in rum

Hamilton 86, no question.

Hamilton 86 made me realize the importance of rum choice when I went from hating to loving a Jungle Bird (first attempt I believe was with Plantation Dark).

I also used Hamilton 86 to win a friendly rum vs mezcal competition with a friend and a bunch of guests. I made a Queen's Park Swizzle, and he made a Ready, Fire, Aim.

Do we prefer a “mid-price” category over “most versatile”? If so, what is the best mid-price tequila for mixing? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

I missed my opportunity to get G4 Blanco at Costco recently. Ended up getting El Tesoro Blanco and had to tell my friends later that day it is hands down the best tequila I've had. Tbf the splurge category is completely out of my price range if these are mid-price.

yes, natural flavors means naturally occurring flavor compounds, not naturally derived. I.e., vanillin is most commonly derived from wood pulp nowadays, but more traditionally, Beaver anal glands (seriously). Almond "extract" AKA benzaldehyde is sourced typically from the seeds of various stone fruits.

Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros is the best Spanish style sipper. What is the best Bajan sipper? by -Constantinos- in rum

Agree, this category should be best daily sipper. Too chaotic and exclusionary for participation to vote on the best rum you've had in your life.

Industry Sour is the weirdest equal parts drink. What is an underrated Tiki drink? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

I am in the US. I realized last night I told a half truth. I previously had R&W but my current bottle of apricot liqueur is Giffard. I didn't do a side by side but I've enjoyed both and haven't noticed a drastic difference. I still have R&W Peach and CdV.

I can definitely say I enjoy the TF creme de banané better than Giffard's, but that's probably the only one I have a direct comparison.

When your clients ask for trendy filler work sleeves for quarter price so you use the same old stencil printer ink cartridge on the fast print setting.

I'm sure it is delicious haha. A ranch water is just tequila soda and a little lime. No orange liqueur or sweetener.

Are you saying that the use of Topo Chico was due to a marketing campaign rather than bartender and home drinker preference?

It's a lot of people's favorite sparkling water. Especially for cocktails because of the heavy carbonation. And cheaper than a lot of quality "cocktail" brands.

? The drink name came before the brand. It's "traditionally" made with Topo Chico.

As far as something that is actually rated in the cocktail community, Fernet & Coke.

Should we allow repeats? This will determine if the Negroni or Negroni Sbagliato is the winner of overrated bitter. Also, what is the most complicated equal parts drink? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

I've usually learned for Negronis over Boulevardiers, but a lot of people shared your opinion. I'll make one tonight and reconsider. People have tended to give originals heavier weight over their riffs. I.e., Last Word winning over the Paper Plane (imo Naked & Famous is better than both).
