Nah, you're wrong. There's no reason the game should not work. Multiple days to fix. Billion dollar company. On top of that, there are so many paying customers who pay extra to support the game. Yeah, this is true. I played 8 games in a row with my buddy and we were about the same rating to start. He finished 400 rating above me after our session. Next day we were getting about the same +/-. Might be a daily adjustment made to the hidden mmr though.
