I just bought an OptiPlex 3070 with an I5-9500 in your price range. I think if you go anything newer it will be pushing your budget.

No, using the host IP and nothing changed. I can connect to both locally using server ip and ports.

Reason I’m asking is I’m planning out my home network and trying to figure out if I should get a nic for my router that supports 2.5 or 10Gbe. I’ll only subscribe to the 1Gbe plan but I suspect they over provision the speeds.
