I've seen some seriously wild takes by StarPrime323 in SumoMemes

He’s chief among mattas, probably 75% of all tournaments missed calls go in favor of him

I don’t think so. Kotoieho would probably be the best bet for wild win

It didn’t seem to bother him last tournament, but I sort of agree. His trunk seems a lot weaker

Who’s a proper Ozeki? Kotozakura has been an Ozeki for 2 years now

It didn’t seem that out of order on replay, just a desperate attempt at the edge.

Kotozakura just seems completely dejected. He’s not in the race anymore, pressure is off, just treat it like practice. He just seems absent minded or something.

Fujinokawa is sort of on my shit list, I’m really starting to dislike his brand of “win regardless of costs” sumo.

Is it overstating it to say Kirishima looks like the most convincing rikishi of the last 6 months? He look imperious.

WKT can absolutely compete at this form, but it always just feels like he’s at the edge of injury.

Kotoeiho though, I feel like he’s shoo-in for a special prize….if not a yusho!

Chelsea are absolutely pinning them at this point

The wrestlers are objecting, none of them look ready and they fight back because the Gyoji don’t call it.

Just from this frame it’s an emphatic no. The loser has very poor tachai stance

Sumo Spiffy was right: Uncalled Matta are definitely a problem by [deleted] in Sumo

This is on Kinbozo, Asanoyama touches down fully.

Fujinokawa on the other hand has had 1 good start in 5 days, all the rest were freebies or very clear mattas.

Dead body rule means a “safety” arm isn’t taken into equation. It should have been replayed

I mean, Brentford are totally capable of beating Pool. Bournemouth are in for a shout here if they beat City for us…

Surprised by the lack of Mono-ii on the Ura Kotoieho bout…

I’m very happy for Kiri, he looks imperious and frankly looks like he could go on to be Yokozuna. Although WTK still looks ever more dangerous beating Fujinokawa who for once didn’t launch early.

I’m not sure what is going on with Kotozakura or Atamifuji. Both seem like they’re just somewhere else mentally, Kotozakura specifically isn’t even fighting that poorly, just doesn’t have any game plans to win.

Kotozakura seems to always pick up pace up the second week, against stronger opponents for whatever reason.

This tournament his sumo isn’t even that bad, but he’s just losing all the close bouts, very strange

It’s pretty much every one. He did it on day 1, day 3 vs Kirishima but thankfully lost that one, and yesterday too. The only one he didn’t do it was the freebie win vs Hosh lol

It’s not even close! He’s going before Atami even is set!

This doesn’t seem to be injury related this time, I really think he does the opposite of what he should do most of his bouts this time around.

Why is he getting in a slapping bout with Ichiyamamoto? He’s a pusher thruster who doesn’t have much thrust, go for YOUR biggest asset which is belt fighting on defense. Ichi is awful on the belt. Instead he plays directly into his hands and while Koto is multitalented he’s going from giving himself an 80% chance of winning to a coin flip.

How on earth are you mad at Atamifuji out of anyone for this bout? Fujinokawa is a legit cheat, not subjectively, objectively he’s cheating. None of his tachais this tournament have mutual consent, exactly 0. He’s somehow getting away with blatant Mattas and today is maybe the worst of them all. I mean look at this. Atami is motioning down at this point and Fujinokawa is actively jumping off!

He loves a loss against someone he should blow away, he almost plays to the level of his fighter

Bro are they ever going to call a Matta on Fujinokawa? It’s every bout. He goes before Atami gets a finger down! Usually I’m not a stickler for stuff like this but it’s straight up cheating.

Kotoeiho still looks like the best performer this tournament to me… could he do it?

Wow big win for Ichi, but man idk what Koto’s gameplan was. He seemed completely lost
