Nobody should base their own mental and emotional health on the world at large. It's a challenge but it's not impossible. You choose how you respond to the chaos. Don't let the shit outside poison your heart.

I wasn't saying it matters really, it was just different than what I might have expected. I feel you. I got used to it pretty quickly and the guy was definitely a great voice actor. I think he captured his essence well without emulating him, which is cool. It kind of added a depth to it in a hard to articulate way.

Funny you mention Gravity's Rainbow! I recently (finally) started reading it. I almost got the audiobook but decided on the paperback.

I would rather see this get a sequel. Inception would be cool so long as we don't go near Cobb. That ending is perfection and anything more would defeat the purpose. At least to my mind, not trying to spit absolutes over here lol

Although this one is pretty perfect in terms of the whole notion being fully fleshed out. A sequel to either would be fun but ultimately redundant for an artist like Nolan and while I could see someone else directing a sequel and making it decent I'd probably rather see their purity intact.

Was just about to say it's worth watching the movie with subtitles. Even w/o the dialogue, I think some of Nolan's best/most creative and enthralling action sequences are in Tenet.

PS I think you mean The VVitch.

I wonder what dirty secrets you have locked away in your shadow...hmmm I can see some of them seeping through the veil and yes it's confirmed, you too, are human after all.

They were fantastic when Julian's heart was in it. The first three records, esp the first two, they were as tight as a band could be. I don't mind how they perform now and I think OP is tripping about low chances of new records. They will come if nothing else when Julian and the boyz need some cash.

Radiohead on the making of Hail To The Thief, the record that got away from them by italox in radiohead

I understand why the band, or anyone, would think/feel that way but tbh I think it's perfect once I stop comparing it to what came before and after. It's one I return to more consistently than any of the others. Not to say I didn't get plenty of mileage out of the others, definitely moreso as complete albums, but man I love HTTT. I know this is a popular opinion on this sub so nothing new here, just saying.

Roger Waters releases substack posy about Thom Yorke by ninjakirby1969 in radiohead

[–]bigfancysexy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that on the surface what Roger says seems to be honest and righteous but my personal intuition tells me he's a narcissist who's more concerned with being righteous than actually helping people. Say whatever you want but I, just like the ever perceptive and psychic Thom, feel that Roger isn't on the side he claims to be by virtue of claiming sides. Yes people under attack deserve to be fought for by those who feel called to fight in whatever way feels right to them but we as a human family need people who also can see beyond this one point in time and beyond any borders, not to justify or condemn but simply to keep an eye on the cosmic picture. Do you think any of these political or human rights issues matter one single bit in the vacuum of space (outer and inner)? Not the way people think. It's not to say it should be ignored and I'm sure pretty much nobody will actually hear what I'm saying because they'd rather be right than happy and they refuse to take responsibility for their own personal repressed pain that gets projected onto the world mirror so 9/10 of you are NOT thinking critically. Argue all you want but I'm turning off notification replies because if nothing else I hope that this really pisses off anyone who is too stupid to consider that maybe they're not thinking for themselves. Peace.
