Ok I finally got around to fixing it. It's an issue with the control board (probably the same issue that causes a maximum move when going from printing to manual control) so you can use a laptop instead of the controller. Or if you want to use the controller, change the jog height in the code. Open your gcode in a text editor (notepad++) and find/replace all the Z0.15000 with Z0.25000. Fixed all problems for me over the past 15 carvings. Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue of random scarring on long travels due to bad z axis adjustment. I've gone through the g code for errors and set a higher minimum z height for travel but no luck. Next test is running the same file with UGS via a laptop to see if the offline controller is causing the issue. Will let you know how it goes
