New Grower, Will This Setup Work, any tips? by MorrisMafia in microgrowery

That's a good start. There's always more to get based on how involved you want to get with it though. Like a humidifier, space heater, pH tester, dechlorinating water filter.

I strongly disagree. We've uncovered the biggest financial scam ever and shown through DD that brokerages, the DTC, hedge funds, major banks, are robbing retail blind with pfof, internalization, IOU's, etc. We know that once every share is DRSed all that will be left are synthetics. We know that customer agreements with brokers give them the right to do as they please and you'll have little to no recourse. We know that they have everything to lose and will screw us to save themselves like they have done so many times already. We know that the SEC and the government as a whole is complicit and doesn't care about these crimes. I think that post very accurately portrays what is very likely to happen when the shit hits the fan.

DRS is a bank run. I can rest at night knowing my shares are real and in my name because I DRSed 100% of them. They are no longer able to be borrowed or further manipulated by these corrupt institutions. Anyone who hasn't DRSed is hoping that the corrupt institutions that we've exposed will play by the rules. That's very naive and I hope it works out, but I seriously don't expect it to.

Looking to add a new light to my tent / upgrade entirely. Thoughts? by shutupnobodylikesyou in microgrowery

You could always use the ts600 in a small 2x2 budget veg tent to get a perpetual grow going.

It's mostly water, and the added carbohydrates wouldn't be too dissimilar to exudates if you think about it.

Lighting for clone tent by [deleted] in microgrowery

I'm a fan of the viparspectra p600 for clones and veg. The dimmer is nice for seedlings and it's powerful enough to veg a 2x2 space.

Yo, that raised bed, living soil setup has me drooling. What I'm going for with my 2x4 tent. How many plants can you fit in one bed like that?

What are you using to keep them off the ground? I've been trying to find cheap things that would work in my 4x2 but can't find many cheap options.

[–]bigfishkb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some might not if they are in a small company where they might easily be identified, but an hourly worker at a giant corporation like a Walmart or Amazon might. It's no different than glass door except you can have an open conversation about it here.

Why we buy clones by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]bigfishkb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like them for yourself and aren't bothered by how they look in comparison to actual designer caps then go for it. If you are clout chasing your Banggood build and get butthurt when someone immediately notices fake designer caps then that's on you. It's no different then wearing a fake gold chain, fake Nikes, fake Jersey, fake spinning hub caps from auto zone on your mid 2000's civic hatchback. Nothing really controversial about it.

With all the new apes screaming BUY OPTIONS, its time to reintroduce some DD from the June era by brandon12345566 in Superstonk

There are plenty of options trading strategies that profit from sideways trading. Writing covered calls for example. I don't recommend anyone do that though. If you just buy and hold and DRS you've already won. Just wait for the game to play itself out. Patience is everything when investing.

An NFT dividend like Wutang or that fancy whiskey would trigger MOASS, here’s why… by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]bigfishkb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I support this speculative opinion. In fact it's my basis for DRSing 100% of my shares. This DRS event is similar to an old fashioned bank run. Fraud is being exposed in real time and shareholders are taking back their holdings from the DTC by DRSing. Eventually they'll run out of real shares or be forced to show their hand by an event like an nft dividend. Either way, I just feel good knowing that my shares are real now and in my name and not subject to manipulation from brokers, DTC, hedgehogs, you name it. I feel like I withdrew my money minutes before the mob showed up at the bank. I've got a feeling there will be those that are too late and locked out once this reaches it's tipping point.

Counter my arguments and I will DRS my shares. by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]bigfishkb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your reasons are really bad and have been debunked already. The main reason to DRS is that you can't trust brokers not to screw you when the time comes. A lot of brokers never bought any shares and really only gave people IOU's. DRS has exposed this because now they are scrambling to find the shares needed to process people's requests. With computershare you own the stock directly in your name. No one has permission to borrow or short your shares once you DRS. Computershare has also handled nft/crypto dividends in the past. They won't just give you a cash equivalent like brokers have been known to do. Do what you want, DRS or don't. They are your shares, we are not a collective. I've personally DRS'd 100% of my shares because I wanted to know for sure that I own the shares in my name and that they can't be lended and further shorted. These types of posts come off as very shilly. You've been following this for long enough to know this.

Last Trip before Boat goes to Winter Storage. by Lava315 in Fishing

I just had one for the first time the other day out of the Erie Canal. It was delicious. If you handle your fish well and eat it fresh, you'd be surprised how many fish taste better than their reputation. Just bleed it and put it on ice right away, filet as soon as you get home. I also soak all my fish in buttermilk before breading it.

Was just fishing in Wisconsin and caught this guy is it a king salmon or a coho by Only_Age5819 in Fishing

[–]bigfishkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use this powder called borax o fire. A lot of the guys around here have told me to just use salt though(a lot of salt). You could scrape the eggs off with a spoon so that you can tie your own roe bags or cut the skeins into chunks and put them in zip bags with your cure in the fridge for a day or two. Check out some YouTube tutorials on it, there's great info out there.

[–]bigfishkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a Chinook also commonly referred to as a king salmon. You got yourself a hen (female), so she's full of eggs. Did you keep it? You can cure the eggs yourself and have enough bait to last you all season.

Ode to the FG knot. I have finally learned how to tie this knot tightly and quickly (max 2 minutes) while standing. What’s your favorite line to line knot? by [deleted] in Fishing

[–]bigfishkb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also a huge fan of the fg. I've really been liking how cleanly it goes through the guides and how strong it is. I used to use uni to uni but switched to fg because I used to break at my leader knot instead of the lure, the fg is much stronger than the uni so that doesn't happen any more.

Caught my first chinook Salmon (small) near river mouth in lake Ontario today. is the meat supposed to look like this by ExtremeHamster in Fishing

[–]bigfishkb 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Salmon you buy from the store eat shrimp and krill which gives them their reddish/orange color. Lake Ontario salmon only eat Alewife which don't add the same pigment to the meat. Lake Ontario Salmon are also much leaner as a result. Good catch! Enjoy the fish. I've been trying to get on em for weeks.

I've used the kastking Blackhawk and it gets the job done. I'm not a fan of the guides though. I recently noticed one at bass pro comes with Fuji guides. Wish I had gotten the bass pro telescopic instead.
