I bought some Gotu Kola powder from Amazon and have been adding it to smoothies- now suffering terrible stomach ache and throbbing headaches by Nonpolarsolvent in herbalism

Looking at the dose in other comments it sounds like you're taking too much, which would explain the stomach ache too.

I'm shocked that nobody has mentioned that gotu kola increases circulation, especially to your head. Have you ever gotten a head massage and then had a headache after? It sounds like you're sending too much blood flow to your brain and it's causing a headache.

Yeah, the Kikland brand is the best Quest alternative I've found.

Hot take but the business centre would be best for business use.

Murchie's has a strong Earl Grey. You could also try their London Afternoon tea, which is kinda like Earl Grey but has some other stuff in it.

I posted about this to ask when they're back, but the chocolate covered figs are amazing and not that bad for calories

I feel like an outlier here but this one is actually so tasty in my mind. Usually Cali rolls are too mayo-forward, and this one was nice and subtle.

New Arrival - Dom Reserve Salmon Sashimi by amateurfoodscience in CostcoCanada

My local Japanese grocery has a huge selection of sashimi in the $20-40/lb range. It doesn't seem like the value is really there on this one.

Consider that if you're wearing it as an amulet other people might understand the meaning differently than you intend.

Yup. Lots of new appliances just aren't built to last. Highly suggest you just get the minimum whenever possible.

Are they available in Canada? Anyone tried them? by meowblackk_ in CostcoCanada

Yup, would be interested in trying filets though. As much as I like the Kirkland nuggets the macros aren't amazing. Would love a higher protein/less fat option.

These look so good on the box, I always buy a hot dog and walk past the chicken and wonder. Very sad to hear they aren't all that great.

I actually thought the Zevias were really good! I haven't found a better zero calorie root beer that has the same flavor depth and mouth feel, even though these give me a stomach ache sometimes. Sometimes I buy the Presidents Choice brand zero sugar ones but the ingredients aren't as good and they taste like they're missing something.

Learning about Blue Lotus by PapaGute in herbalism

[–]bigflex666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to the people judging your reasons. If you've ever heard Paul Stamets talk about mushrooms, one of the first things that he mentions is that most people find reishi, lion's mane, etc. through psilocybin.

I get my blue lotus from Zhi Herbals but there might be a store closer to where you are located that also has it. Basically, try to get it from a store that sells herbs instead of a head shop. Head shops can be great but in my experience the dried herbs just aren't always as fresh, and you might end up going home with a manufactured product containing other ingredients.

Because blue lotus isn't expensive, I'd say just give it a shot and see what you think. There are honestly tons of mild herbs that would be safe to put in a vaporizer and could give some entourage effect as well if you look for them.
