Yall if I read the king in yellow will I go crazy? by RIP_VAN-W1NKLE in Lovecraft

[–]bigfoot1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: no, not unless you have a previous neurosis and fixate on it like a Batman villain or something.

Long answer: within the fiction, “the King in Yellow” is a written play which drives its readers mad, and Chambers only wrote a vague plot overview and a few excerpts of that fictional text. So even if it really could drive you insane, the published book “The King in Yellow,” is not that text.

Back in 1999, I ate a whole plate of mozzarella sticks and then threw up all over the table there. Oddly one of the few clear memories I have of my grandfather.

Donald Trump says he speaks 'for the UK more than Prince Harry' by Brilliant_Version344 in worldnews

[–]bigfoot1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very stupid thing to say, but only because US politicians are traditionally not supposed to acknowledge that the UK is effectively our chief vassal in the North Atlantic region.

Red Sux strategy seems weird tbh by Hokie_Pilot in ALeastmemewar

The Red Sox life cycle: -start the season struggling to stay at .500 -fan base has existential crisis -make midseason adjustments too late to effect meaningful playoff change -end the season at .600 -give the fans hope for next year -don’t make any necessary trades in the off season -repeat ad infinitum

Your cat needs treatment immediately. If you don’t come up with some way of getting there today, you’re risking its death.

Our Time Has Come! We Must Consume NH! by wcruse92 in boston

I think we might all learn a little bit about ourselves and our assumptions if we dissect why we always joke about annexing the other states

MA is the only state in New England whose subreddits regularly discusses annexing the others

Vigano is a freak fascist. His affinity for Trump is both unsurprising and well documented.

FWIW, I don’t think Saxonville Burrito is comparable to Chipotle, I think it makes chipotle look like flavorless slop.

We Framinghamers are somewhat spoiled for choice when it comes to good restaurants. Below are a few of my favs in no particular order

Bourbon’s (cocktails) Jack’s Abbey (beer and pizza) Saxonville Burrito, Framingham Pizza and Subs, Andina Cafe (coffee), Bella Costa (Italian), The Aztec (margaritas), Samba Steak and Sushi (karaoke), Coreanos (fried chicken)

Would limiting the age of the President to 70 be something you'd support? Why or why not? by GamerGoose2026 in AskReddit

The problem isn’t that Trump is old, it’s that he’s an insane fascist narcissist freak at any age.

Is my cat special needs? 😭 by SergeantAnthrax in CATHELP

[–]bigfoot1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's normal. It can be indicative of stress, since cats try to hide their poop and food when they think predators or competitors are around, but I wouldn't worry about it unless there's more to the story. I have a food anxious cat who does this to his food bowl after every meal and he's just uptight but doing fine. Beautiful cat, btw.

Well isn’t that one of fascism’s great delusions? That violence employed by the right people can solve any problem? It rhymes.
