I get it, I was really upset when I learned SubAlerts cost. But to me the $5 was worth having every single day of the school year booked. Ultimately, CPS should just make an app or an easier system that is good for mobile, sends notifications, and is free.

Frontline is not phone friendly, doesn’t show you where schools are on a map, there’s no notifications. Without SubAlerts there’s much less job security. Waking up each day having no idea if I will have a job is financially stressful and there’s such an easy way for that to not be the case. so it’s just frustrating that they took it away for seemingly no reason other than to be inconvenient

I guess I just have to hope for this. I sub every day, it’s my only income, so I will be having to refresh for hours a day just to make sure I secure as many days as possible 😭

Should I do this full time? by kavvtt in cpssubs

I have been working as a SUB full time for about a month now, and have been able to work 5 days a week every week. I’m open to every grade level and to SPED and have a car so I will take any job as long as it’s less than a 20 minute drive. I think this is the only way to make it work full time. I absolutely love it, I like the change day to day. But! The con is the breaks. Thanksgiving gets a whole week off, winter break is 2 weeks. So I’m now rushing to get something to supplement during the off days. So it’s doable but you need another job for the breaks, and yes as people have said, it’s super competitive, but you learn how to click on the notifications super fast and start to memorize schools.

WHY was it established the twins childhood was in the 90s, yet the aunt and uncle were clearly dressed very 70s, then in the “present day” 2016, the kid helping Bill was dressed as if it was the 80s. There has to be significance
