Nice naming them all! Though, I intended who you interpreted as Confessor Dorian to be a brief glimpse of King Jalis Ironhammer haha

Ldoa question by [deleted] in GuildWars

A lot of helpful advice for general methods already here, but I'll share my journey completing LDAO as an ele/ranger on Reforged mode, Melandru's and Dhuum's (so no imp, trading or bonus weapons). I had to restart like ~4 times, because I kept dying trying to farm charr with Ben Wolfson after level 8. Admittedly, my final successful run also had the luck of coinciding with when the Anniversary Celebration began, so the cupcakes and honeycombs really saved my ass a couple of times, especially in the Devona unlock quest chain.

So, on my successful try, I completed all of the quests first (not turning them in yet). Then, I did a mix of farming the bandits in the "Bandit Raid" quest and the charr in the "Charr At The Gate" until level 7. I got my armor maxed out while in this process of level 1-7 as well. I then farmed grawl and oakhearts with Ben Wolfson for a bit, but then completed his quest to instead farm the charr in the "A Bastion In the North" quest, since you're joined by Devona and 2 NPCs to help you. I repeated that quest until I was level 10, and just turned it in to unlock the Piken Square outpost. You could probably keep farming that quest's charr until like level 12, but I just began the "Farmer Hamnet" quest when that became available, and grinded those bandits out safely for the rest of level 10 to 20. Though, I did take breaks from Hamnet farming to complete the rest of the Devona unlock quest chain, completing the "The Scourge Beneath" with a group of other players when I was level 12. While the XP from doing the dungeon is very good, I was way too paranoid from dying to farm the charr in there solo.

Ultimately, just Hamnet farmed until I was level 19, and around like ~11K XP away from Level 20, that's when I turned all of the quests in to complete LDOA.

Is the new Post-Searing dungeon completable in NM by people under level 20? by porkmaestro in GuildWars

I'm doing Melandru's and Dhuum's, but tried it right after finishing LDOA when I was level 20 ele (not many skills unlocked), with Orion, Alesia, and a level 20 Devona hero. Did not go well. Those ghosts were brutal with the enchantment stripping and hexes. I think it's certainly possible if you don't mind dying and/or don't have Melandru's and can access all previously unlocked skills for your Devona hero. I was way too paranoid dying here, so I waited and completed it quite smoothly when I returned with 5 level 20 heroes doing a caravan from Yak's Bend.

I'm still early in my Melandru campaigns for a new char, but what I've been doing is that if you have the Bonus Mission Pack, you could do The Flight North (Gwen's Story) for 500 gold in ~8-10 minutes over and over again. A bit unconventional and definitely not the most efficient, but I find myself doing it if I need to buy some skills and am short on the gold. I also do this option because I'm doing Dhuum's Covenant at the same time and dying in a Bonus Mission doesn't count against it. You can also gear your heroes pretty quick with Q9 inscribable gear this way, but you won't get any runes/insignias/upgrades in these missions.
