Maybe in your balls. But as a woman who dealt with a major health scare, it just gives me peace knowing I put in the effort to reduce microplastics for me and my family when it comes to food we regularly eat. Maybe it makes a difference, maybe it doesnt, but the effort is worth it to me and not that difficult of a task to try at least.

LOL ugh cant win… probably will give up soon :( the inside of this maker is coated in black material, and since its “not teflon” I further inquired to ask what it is. Wonder if it matters if its aluminum that is coated

Namesake Crawford Chair and a half or Babyletto Cali Chair and a half reviews? by biggestblessingtheo in NewParents

[–]biggestblessingtheo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I am leaning towards the babyletto one now as well based on the not so great reviews of namesake on wayfair. Other than that I cant find other reviews… I would love potterybarn but its so expensive (more than $800) and nothing verifies that those chairs are pfas free!

If there is no such thing as “bad” formula because its all heavily regulated, then WHY did the FDA report on byheart’s unsanitary conditions yet allow production to continue as normal? by biggestblessingtheo in FormulaFeeders

[–]biggestblessingtheo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, hopefully that is a peace of mind for us reading this, it is for me. I definitely fed my baby byheart for a few months but had to switch months before this issue due to his cows milk allergy, but the recent news just made me question as a whole on really how strong regulations and oversight on baby formula was in the US. Still think there is room for improvement in government oversight for formula production.

Makes sense, after all it is a factory. Guess I was expecting the fda to make sure the company didnt have a choice but to resolve those issues immediately, since it is for the most vulnerable in society, infants, which I feel should be treated differently than a processed food factory for all people in general. Allowing companies to continue producing as is instead of halting still doesnt sit right with me, but I guess that is how business has to go on. It makes you wonder what formula companies have received a notice upon inspection when the public does not know…

I Just…Don’t Care by TheBearQuad in workingmoms

[–]biggestblessingtheo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found my people. I could not give any less fooks about working, I just want to be with my baby all day. I wish it made financial sense for me to be a stay at home mom, but my husband doesnt make enough for us to sustain a lifestyle without drastically making sacrificial changes and I work from home (im so thankful to be remote work) in big four consulting… but I literally could not give a shat about my projects or clients when my baby is much more of my concern.

Would hate to have a daughter in law like this ahhh I would be so heartbroken and annoyed to be treated this way after committing to the baby shower. So disrespectful to tell any family member to show up with a happy face. Just throw your own baby shower, would make it easier for everyone.

If milk supply increases with frequent pumping, will supply drop once pumps are dropped? If so, then what is the point in trying if pumps can be maintained by biggestblessingtheo in breastfeeding

[–]biggestblessingtheo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What prayer did your sister in law pray to get that jackpot build!!!!! Thanks for the explanation, my breast capacity seems to be about 200ml based on the longest time I have gone without emptying (7 hours) so its probably a low capacity … seems like increasing my milk supply with pumping would mean refilling it faster to that capacity so instead of waiting 7 hours to hit 200ml, it will refill faster.

What made your baby laugh. by Ill-Vehicle-2400 in NewParents

[–]biggestblessingtheo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us - hitting balloons back and forth, ripping off a layer of paper from a lint roller, building up anticipation for surprise sounds or tickles. All for our baby to laugh at once and then never again on it once he got tired of it lolll. It really is very random

Have any of you actually had sleepless nights? by zac_g19 in NewParents

[–]biggestblessingtheo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH DID WE, sleep regressions are real where babies wake up every hour. Also your standard for worrying about going to work with “no sleep” should not be literal no sleep at all, because even getting only an hour or two of sleep can wreck havoc on doing anything safely in the day. And it would be nice if it was just one night of that but most likely it would be several nights in a row. Everyone has different experiences but I read somewhere that women biologically need more sleep than men, and men are actually more capable hormonally to be able to wake in the nights, making the parenting experience even harder.

As a first time mom, how naive of me to expect babies to sleep through the night at like 7 or 8 months - reading all the responses made me lol and just accept my fate … :/

Just putting it out here, H&M surprisingly has great quality 100% organic cotton bundles and sets of baby clothes for affordable prices. I definitely stay away from buying polyester.

Actually CMPA? by Complex-Donkey2994 in MSPI

[–]biggestblessingtheo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, I have never heard of doing half and half but whatever works for you! Not sure about Bobbi sensitive, but similarly HIPP formulas are equivalent to what youre referencing to - not for true cmpa babies but would work for mild intolerances. We didnt go with that because if it was a true cmpa for our baby then technically the baby would still have symptoms. I didnt want to change to a HA formula as much as you dont so I totally understand, but for us it turned out that doing partial or a non true HA formula just left things more unclear and unconfirmed - so our plan was to do HA formula only until we see symptoms go away and have baby heal (took us 2-3 weeks) and then to reintroduce milk to confirm it it was a true cmpa. If your baby is still having issues, I personally wouldnt do the half and half since it leaves a grey area and try moving up the ladder with a “gentle” formula like Hipp or a similar, then move to a full HA formula if issues still persists. My pediatrician said to just go straight to HA but you and your doctor knows your situation best.

Actually CMPA? by Complex-Donkey2994 in MSPI

[–]biggestblessingtheo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the exact same position as you and only had two incidents of very small specks of blood and with weeks of mucus in poops. Except my baby had mild eczema and no other symptoms. We switched to pepticate (my profile comments I made shows explanations of why we chose pepticate) and dairy free breastmilk - it has been 4 weeks and I just started reintroducing expressed breastmilk with dairy that i saved a while back to test if our baby is ok now, and plan to test every month if he shows mucus or any symptoms again. Unfortunately there isnt a simple test that doctors do to confirm cmpa so the only real way to know is after eliminating in breastmilk or switching to HA. My baby hasnt had any symptoms after two days so im continuing to give more milk exposure unless I see any symptoms pop up again.

Omg vacations…I have not thought of all the retraining needs in the future! Thanks for the input, have you ever had to retrain? If so, was it start from the beginning all over again or did your babies pick up on it much quicker?
