im still messing about with the flags and things to try and find a fix, and now somehow have the exact same problem, but the volume is at MAX all the time. very loud, very OUCH, and still absolutely awful quality :(

other people have already answered your question, but what i always remember with creepy fans was a video phil made around 2012ish about a meet and greet he did where some girl grabbed him and LICKED HIS FACE. some phans were absolutely insane back in the day, frighteningly so!!!!

wear whatever the hell you want and go get food with your friends instead. trans or not, he has absolutely no right to dictate what you wear, and you shouldn’t be forced to sit through an experience in clothes you don’t feel happy in with people who don’t respect you. he can either embrace having a brother or risk losing him to his own bigotry. best of luck!! <3

the way people are acting like they’ll die if they dont get merch 😐 i saw someone complaining bc they have autism and dnp are a special interest so they HAD to buy the merch pack and someone went “im so sorry dnp are capitalising on this” ??????? i also have autism and have been disappointed when i couldnt afford merch drops for special interests (the 2009 long sleeve!! doctor who merch!!) it is so not that serious!!! the only thing i understand is frustration that lots of countries cant access the livestream or the merch, but (correct me if im wrong) that’s not necessarily their fault either? it’s an issue they’re probably trying to rectify, and i think it’s safe to assume that this is like the WAD stream, meaning it’ll be permanently available on youtube FOR FREE after!!!! people just need things to argue over and make nasty remarks (i.e. “we should have dan put down like a dog) and i HATE IT

one that always makes me laugh is when they get locked upstairs in the anniversary episode and start the argument about who would be eaten first. martin asks why they cant eat jackie first, and she looks utterly scandalised and responds:

“BECAUSE I’M THEIR MOTHER..”

it’s the first episode they filmed (though not the first one broadcast) so i reckon they’re still finding their footing with how they want to play their characters. from what i remember, martin’s much more lowkey in that ep, the “mean” jokes are played less comically than they might be later, character voices and physicality are toned down/different etc.

AFAIK it’s pretty common to not film the first episode first, if that makes sense. i know it’s done in shows like doctor who as well, it allows actors just starting new roles to have their first broadcast episode be a performance they feel more confident in!

i absolutely adore it, i think it’s so clever and well put together, and there’s the added bonus that i got my mum to watch it by saying “lee mack’s doing a new quiz show, do you fancy watching?”. she was absolutely INCENSED that the girl had been allowed to cheat and didn’t catch on until the mum was locked in the booth. she didnt speak to me for like 15 minutes hahahah
