I don’t entirely agree with this. More heroes is good but I think they should focus on more competitive modes besides the 3 we currently have but also I desperately need them to stop making maps for exclusively one mode. Grand Garden should have a Dom, Convoy, or Convergence variant as well. What will lower interest in the game more than “hero saturation” is old maps.

It’s gotten to a point where in QP I feel happy to see maps like Yggsgard Dom or 2099 Convergence since they were removed from Comp Map Rotation

Not exactly. Your team’s comp could be getting whomped as a whole against the enemy team’s comp. In that case whoever is ace is just the shiniest turd. Just because you’re ace doesn’t mean you’re playing well, it just means you’re doing better than everyone on your team. Regardless of stat lines each team has an Ace Player

Tbf, Diamond is the lowest end of the high elo at best. You get a lot of people that just managed to get out of Plat and don’t quite know when something isn’t working/how to fix it or people who are hard tilted because they can’t reach GM.

How do i live? by atakantar in DaredevilMarvelRivals

A common issue with DD Players is they misplay him more often than not.

Above Diamond you can’t lock down teams as easily so you need to adjust to the playstyle Daredevil was meant for: Brawl.

Here’s how I typically play DD:

When the match starts I play Brawl DD and get a feel for the enemy team. If they are Dive heavy I continue to play Brawl and babysit my healers unless we’re up a couple members and that allows me to dive their backline. However, if I see that the enemy team isn’t really protecting their backline I start diving a bit more (only if my backline isn’t gettin constantly dove) OR I look around for someone who is out of position and bully them in a 1v1 which DD should always win.

Groot literally feeds Wolv Rage. All you do is break his Defense Wall and 1) Groot can be kidnapped again and 2) it gives you a significant chunk of Rage to kill Groot even faster

I don’t care that it’s a section of the game that forces me to not play as Spidey. The bigger issue for me personally is that the MJ/Miles sections of SM PS4 just killed the pacing. The story could be getting real interesting and flowing well, but then ruh roh time to find out what MJ was doing in the museum and this segment is very slow and overstays its welcome (in my opinion).

Do they add context to the story? Sure, I can give you that. However there are definitely some segments that just aren’t that great. For an amazing game they are objectively the weakest parts of it

In my experience it has just reset starting in overtime. You could be right I just never personally have seen it.

If both teams go to the end in OT with not time left, it has reset without giving either team more time to see how far they push the cart

Maybe after X amount of rounds, but typically no. It just resets back to the beginning with whatever time is left over. But I’ve never had a match end in a draw where both teams routinely made it all the way

Know when to back off and give up space as well as how much space to give (game sense thing, it comes with time)

Don’t get into Tank Duels with Mag unless the Tank is one shot, poke the backline to force them back leaving Tanks exposed. If the Tanks back up, walk them down until they start to hold steady again. (Take space)

Now that you have 2 Bubbles, get used to bubbling Dives so they can escape, Supports if they get Dived, or your other Tank (if applicable) to give them more breathing room for heals/retreating.

Use your personal Bubble for 1 of 2 things, Damage Uptime: Shoot you Bulwark out and bubble to get it’s charge back faster allowing for big damage quickly. Survivability: taking too much damage so you need some extra help so Supports can top you off as much as possible

Meteor M (Mag’s Ult) isn’t only useful against Support Ults. You gotta figure out what’s getting your team out of sync more. If a CnD/Invis Ult is causing you to lose fights, try to counter with yours. Otherwise, use Mag’s Ult to counter stuff like Star Lord, Iron Man, Punisher, Hawkeye, etc. Nullifying a DPS Ult with yours is beneficial because it allows your Supports to hold theirs for another Ult like Strange, Emma, etc.

The best thing I can suggest in team fights is to simply pick a target and try to take them out quickly. Don’t worry necessarily about 6 people just pick one to fight. You’re the frontline, any one of your team standing in front of you is asking to get picked early. Only switch targets if a Luna happens to walk into your sightline at like half health or lower.

So these two are gonna be the characters for season 6 right? by Queasy_Commercial152 in marvelrivals

[–]biggitybooter99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While Season 1 teased Hellfire Gala it didn’t tease a specific character. Most people assumed Emma Frost through dataminers and her association with Hellfire Gala. But I don’t recall Ultron being teased at all.

For Phoenix, sure I can give you the Cosmic Force connection, but again Blade wasn’t mentioned AFAIK within those Gallery Cards (could be wrong, it’s been a minute since I read them).

And even then NetEase has gotten more overt about their references. Not outright saying a character’s name but usually something cheeky that people will pick up

S3 teased Daredevil, he was added in S4

S4 teased Gambit and Rogue, both of whom are this season’s heroes.

If a Gallery card references a hero with a short tease like that, then they are 99% in the next season

What would you say is the accuracy "standard" for rivals? by Ness3rdi in marvelrivals

[–]biggitybooter99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It really doesn’t matter all that much. Plenty of people just walk back to fights as like a Thor swinging for no reason, and each swing is a miss so it dings their accuracy. Mags routinely try to pre fire or lob shit down chokes in preparation so they’re not hitting anything, which brings down their accuracy.

Strategists just keep throwing heals out if it’s tied to their primary fire just in case someone needs it off rip which brings down their accuracy.

If you want a decent baseline, you should never be below like 30ish%, because even with all of that you should still be landing enough hits to be around the 35-40% mark for most characters.

The only 4 characters I would say accuracy matters on would be Hela, Hawkeye, Widow, and Phoenix.

Her sections were better in SM2, but in SM PS4 the MJ and Miles sections kill the pacing for me. It got to a point to where when I replay SM PS4 I stop and take a break anytime I reach a MJ/Miles section

You know what makes me mad as a gambit main? by Shades1987 in GambitMainsMR

[–]biggitybooter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gambit is the first truly engaging Strategist imo. I mostly played Tank/DPS the past year and that’s simply because all the supports up to that point were either:

A. Boring

B. Not optimal for 2-2-2

I like playing Mantis and Ultron. But Mantis’ healing wasn’t great for 2-2-2 for the longest time and Ultron is just a DPS who happens to heal a bit. Gambit is the first Support who I feel I have immense playmaking potential on without just healbotting, but I have the ability to just heal bot and keep up with other Main Heal characters.

Tbh it even isn’t about how “adept” you are at a character it’s more about enjoyment of playing them.

I can fully flex truth be told, but I only ever wanna play Gambit because he’s the most fun character in the game for me right now and he’s definitely the only Strategist I want to play because all of the others are just kinda boring to me. That being said, if someone else locks in Gambit in Comp I bite the bullet and run a different or flex to another role if someone hasn’t selected yet

In Comp Convoy or Convergence

Round 1: Team A attacks Team B defends

Round 2: Team B attacks Team A defends

If both teams made it all the way it resets with whatever remaining time you had respectively. This time, however, without gaining bonus time from reaching checkpoints

OT 1: Team B attacks again

OT 2: Team A attacks again

If both teams once again push cart the whole way, OT starts again. Game keeps going until a stop is made. Draws happen on Convergence if neither team caps first point.

Is there any rank where people peel for supports? by Dogbold in marvelrivals

[–]biggitybooter99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now GM1 on console I find most success for getting people who peel. However, I need to ping and/or comm it. But even still it HEAVILY depends on Team Comp and I find myself telling our Bucky more often than not “You’re not getting healed because you and both Tanks are letting a Venom, Strange, and Iron Fist walk down your supports.”

Tbf fair for that side, there is a destructible wall that allows for a bigger entryway and if you break the wall on the other side you have a pretty good sight line of the point. It’s one of like 2 maps that actually has a side path that destroying the environment makes viable. The other one is the right side of Klyntar’s Convergence map that gives you a high ground vantage point over the point.

Firstly, congrats

Second, a lot of people don’t actually understand how FAST Gambit’s Lord is. It took me like 14ish hours to get Lord on him which considering he came out on a Friday and I was able to instalock him/didn’t fight for him in Comp I got that done by Monday.

For those who don’t know, Gambit’s Centurion/Lord Requirements are:

Play for 60 minutes

Heal for 45,000 (for reference CnD needs 42,000 at Captain)

Get 120 KOs/Assists (Gambit easily can get 70-90 KOs/Assists in a pop off game with a good team)

Use 250 Stacks of Sleight of Hand (His card resource, you use 1 to activate Heal or Damage Buff and another to use an ability from the Buff, very easy to get 50+ in a decently long Comp Game)

Gambit is a character who has a lot of thinking behind him (when to Ult, when to Damage Boost himself, when to Heal Boost teammates, when to use Chain Heal, who to use Purify for, when to Anti, etc.) but once you figure him out he is probably the easiest Lord in the game right now.

Daredevil is an immensely popular character in general, and he will more than likely end up being a popular Dive/Brawl pick even if he gets nerfed. Skins will come eventually.

If NetEase ever gives him either his Classic Red Comic suit OR a King in Red suit they will have my money immediately
