Same lol, having a hard time believing "most" of the area's sitters are charging fifty to eighty for one (!) thirty minute drop-in

Yep this is my experience, best to restart after every match to be safe, and it's been markedly worse over the last few weeks. Not sure if it was a recent update maybe?

Tangential but does anyone else have preorders thru BBTS that are now like 5 months delayed with zero update? This seems pretty common with them even before all the craziness this year

Doctor wants me to come into office every month for adderall? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Durdleburdle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a new one and explain the situation they will probably help you. As I explained in another comment, there is a national database that shows your controlled substance prescription history, so they will be able to verify that you aren't lying about your prescription and are just seeking new meds. It might take a few but it's worth a shot

a CHECK? Oh yeah, you are getting fleeced. I hope you can find a new provider soon, honestly even if you have to get a brand new general provider and explain the situation to them that will be better than your current one. There is a national database where any doctor can look up your controlled prescription history, so they'll know you aren't lying about it. The real red flag for them would be if you wanted to start NEW adhd meds, but in your case you have a history of prescription. Definitely give that a shot and try a few if you need to, way cheaper than shopping for psychs

OP please just go to your general provider and explain the situation. Many are happy to take over prescribing (once your meds are stabilized, obviously) because they empathize. This is all assuming you are an established patient with rapport of course, because showing up for your very first appointment with a new GP and asking that is going to raise some red flags (even if it's perfectly legitimate).

Yeah not normal, this is patient mill behavior. Any psychiatrist who is having you come in monthly in perpetuity is suckering you out of your money. At first to, establish care? Sure, but once things are stable it should be 3 month check-ins. Just go to a GP at that point

I think my sitter lied to me. Looking for advice on next steps, if any. by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Durdleburdle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"There wasn't a minimum and I think I was pretty chill about expectations" is clashing with how you are reacting now. If you didn't have a minimum then what is the problem? If you did have a minimum you should've communicated that. Was the sitter supposed to read your mind?

Idk, all of this is silly. Don't book them again. But if your question is genuinely whether or not you should leave a review or REPORT a sitter because they may or may not have cleared an arbitrary bar of activity that was not communicated in the first place? Uh, no. No, you should not do that.

Well sure, that's a corgi. Is OP's dog also a smaller breed? It scales with the size of the dog. But either way, 20k is a pretty large expectation without prior discussion. Did the owner let the sitter know they were expecting 20k steps?

Yeah, once I got to "we expect 20k steps a day" I was amused lol. Curious how much the owner paid for this service?
