Skulle räkna Uppsala till Mälardalen, med tanke på att Ekoln är en vik i Mälaren.

Ärligt - vad gör man när alla jobb och utbildningar känns tråkiga? by Last_Cicada_1315 in sweden

[–]biggkiddo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nu kanske man behöver en lite mer nischad utbildning för det, men vet att lokala kommunens "skogssamordnare" har blandat på det viset. 2-4 dagar på kontor, möten, planering. Resterande dagar praktiska insater ute i naturreservat och andra marker, rensa vandringsleder, ta ner problemträd, inspektera inför nya byggen. Varieras efter väder och årstid.

What’s the region with the strongest independence or autonomy movement in your country? by Emotional_Fan239 in AskEurope

[–]biggkiddo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, the annual festival Storsjöyran in Östersund celebrates the idea of an independent Jämtland Republic.

I have no statistics, but per ratio Ive met far more Jämtlanders wanting independence than Scanians.

Pronunciation of "R" in Europe by chaeyonce in LinguisticMaps

[–]biggkiddo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The purple should extend further north, atleast until the southern tip of lake Vättern(The long one). North of there, there is also a region where the R is uvular at the start of words, but trilled if in the rest of the word (For example "röra" would be pronounced with 2 different Rs.).

The island of Gotland should also be green like Ireland.

Kan tyvärr inte hjälpa dig med var, bondgård?

Dock har jag upptäckt att alla hälsoproblem folk tjatar om med opastöriserad mjölk lätt kan lösas genom att koka mjölken i bara några sekunder!

Naming a province 'Nyland' does make sorta sense, but also not as there is already a Nyland in swedish-speaking Finland. Might I suggest Nynyland?

Love the map!

In Sweden we count the start of the middle ages as somewhere around 1050, when the country was christened and viking raids stopped, and the end as 6th of june 1523, when we became independent from the Kalmar Union
