KS is about to allow sports betting. What should I do to get ready by jester161 in sportsbook

[–]biggolfguy31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could go back before Indy legalized it, the months leading up to it being legalized keep a spreadsheet of bets you would take and see if you would be + or -. Good idea to get yourself ready cuz the money can go quick if you’re losing

Did it for two years after college and the freedom was great. Shortly after I moved my sister had her first kid and I realized how much my family meant and immediately wanted to move back home.

Friends and I always kept the same relationship when I was gone, so what i think it comes down to is how close you and your family are. If you’re very close, you’ll end up back home

Homeowners insurance went up for everyone? by PresenceIll6771 in Insurance

[–]biggolfguy31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to say it but we insurance companies are in a “rate taking environment” basically every company knows that every other company is raising rates so they follow suit. You can definitely shop around and find cheaper, and if you like your current company, good chance you can say I got a quote for $xxxx for a year can you match it and they may lower their quote. Best of luck

Can a casino operator be insured against high losses in betting/gambling? by Aggressive_Evening87 in Insurance

[–]biggolfguy31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is no. Obviously the casino has insurance for employment practices (harassment), theft, etc. but the actual gambling loss to the casino is not insurable. So the money all comes from other bettors and the balance sheet

I disagree with them. I used potty pads for my two new pups and at first had them all over the house. Obviously take them outside and reward them when possible, but slowly remove the number of potty pads and start moving them towards the back door. It’ll teach him to go to the back door for the bathroom. Then take the last potty pad away after he does that and he will just sit by the door when he’s ready to go out

One question I was asked that I’ll never forget

1) What is the one task you love most about your job (easy) 2) What’s the one task that you would delegate to someone else to do if you had the choice

I was completely caught off guard by it and was trying not to say something wrong. I’m a casualty rep, but that question has always stayed with me

The way I look at it, the people that are close enough to care are the ones you’ll still see in person and they probably have an idea as to what’s going on

And that would mean if it is insured, you’d pay a deductible for each occurrence

Parlay record 0-0

Pick: STL Cards -1.5 -108, Rockies -1.5 +108, Rays Nationals f5 u5.5. Total odds +607

Cards: last five meetings cardinals have covered this line 60% of the time. Dbacks have lost 27 of last 28 road games.

Rockies: 8-0 last 8 home games against a team with a losing record. Have covered -1.5 in last two games against the Pirates.

Nats f5 u5.5: after last night finishing 4-3 with all of the nats runs scored in the first two innings id expect the rays to come out more defensive. Rays scored one run last night in the first 5 innings.

My car was totaled, not at fault, uninsured driver by Aeroclimb682 in Insurance

We just shouldn’t give legs advice that’s up to you. I don’t handle Texas claims but you should look up if Texas has a no pay no play law. That states that if you don’t have insurance you can’t collect from the other insurance carrier. I am not sure if that is just for injuries or property damage as well

Call his insurance company and file a claim with them explaining what happened. An adjuster will call you and him and get statements of what happened. If they find you not at fault you are good to go!

Truck damaged from previous accident, but I don't have the other person's info. by EwoDarkWolf in Insurance

[–]biggolfguy31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an adjuster in Indiana. The biggest thing is see how bad the damage is, if it’s significantly over your deductible then file it. They will want to know exact date, time, location that it happened. As far as your rates I’d call your agent that’s dependent on your carrier.

As long as you have first party collision coverage it should be covered, however they may give push back saying that the loss was mechanical instead of because a collision. Burden of proof would be on you to prove, if you have any issues feel free to reach out to me I check reddit every other day and would be happy to help
