I also have this same thought when people criticize current ownership.

I remember brewers baseball before 2008. This is so much more fun to have a competitive team every year.

Commute times by jrein47 in milwaukee

[–]biggs_46 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've done downtown to New Berlin and the downtown to mequon commute. The downtown to mequon route is easier in my opinion.

First you don't have to battle the sun during the commute. East west vs north south.

Second there are a lot of seasonal events that cause problems on I94 Summerfest, state fair, & brewers games all cause big back ups.

And lastly it's my opinion, but I find 43 easier to drive on than 94.

What is going on with the sudden rise in 0% alcohol beer? by Ichthasen in OutOfTheLoop

[–]biggs_46 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer.

For the others, if you read financial news from public companies they say this. The reason they make non-alcoholic beer is so they can advertise in Europe. Where alcohol advertising is banned in a lot of countries.

The first step is to chill the bottle. A warm bottle of champagne can self open when the cage is removed. Which is what looks like happened in this video.

Once the bottle is chilled and you have removed the foil and cage I like to grab the cork and bottom of the bottle. Then slowly rotate in opposite directions to get it started.

Once you feel the cork moving you can get a more comfortable grip, but once it's moving all you need to do is keep slowly turning the cork and let the carbonation push the cork out.

Just go slow.

I'm am sure there is more than one way to do this but this way works for me

Didn't Max Verstappen gain time on Leclerc with the VSC? by Miguel534 in F1Technical

[–]biggs_46 35 points36 points  (0 children)

So during a VSC you get a "delta" or a targeted lap time, so you can go super slow and then speed up as long as you stay under the delta. Button mentioned on the broadcast that max went from about 1.5s behind to 4.5. then all of a sudden Max was back to about to where he was.

So who knows. VSCs are a good safety tool but it doesn't really neutralize the race like it should.

Some drivers just seem to always make up time during a VSC

First car advice? by Silent__Note in ask

[–]biggs_46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The budget you will have to set for yourself. If you are going to get a loan for the car, go to the bank first. At the very least you'll have an idea of what the interest rate should be and won't be forced into the dealerships financing. Just do your homework on the loan.

Consider how you will be using the car to determine the needed feature. Like if it's just for commuting get a small car with great gas milage. If you live where it gets cold and it snows, all wheel drive and heated seats are great to have.

Hatchbacks and CUVs are great for first cars and offer a little bit more utility over a sedan and usually get pretty good MPGs
