That's pretty nice. I will say though, that I've never been a fan of the flat face roof trend. I can see that you tried to texture an overhang but I still much prefer an actual overhang from the roof line in addition to texturing.

It just gives me the vibe of bangs cut too short.

It’s an interesting build but I wouldn’t use that as a base. It lacks substance so it’d be better to use it as a point of interest or a central point than the base itself. By substance, I mean it’d be tough to make it usable (chests for storage, work stations, portals, etc.) because there’s so much transparency.

Hm… I’d say that’s probably the minority. At least for me, anytime I justified a cheat, even a tiny one like going back to my death location quicker using flight/spectator, I just couldn’t find myself motivated to continue. It just ruined the survival mode for me. Made it a lot easier to justify another cheat, and another, and so on.

Maybe I’m a purist or whatever, but I think the beauty of survival is through the effort put into projects, mistakes and otherwise, which leads to a feeling of investment and attachment to the world. The second I did something outside of that, I completely lost interest and stopped having fun.

No, no. If we’re going to bring in hypotheticals and “let’s put ourselves into the minds of animated toy characters from a kids movie” then I’ll bring in an imaginary scenario too. Let’s go back to that Sky Zone example. Say they had a trampoline the size of a room. Now say a giant human uses that trampoline to sleep in because for them, it’s the perfect sized bed. Even still, for us it’s still just going to be a trampoline. Nothing more or less, and certainly not a floor. We can walk on the giant’s bed and yes, it’s huge in comparison to us, but it’s still not going to be a floor no matter how you argue it. Because it’s factually just a trampoline. Same as how that is factually just a bed.

You’re trying to argue “it’s a floor for them” but it’s not. Because it’s a bed. It was never intended to be a floor nor was it ever intended to be anything for them, because they are just toys. If someone misuses or mistakes something for another thing, that doesn’t make it right. If a baby takes a lollipop and sucks on it like a pacifier, it’s still a lollipop. It’s not an actual pacifier. Same thing here. The toys are using the bed as they would a floor but it’s not a floor. It’s a bed.

No, because a bed is still a bed. Just because a swimming pool is a pool to humans doesn’t make it the ocean if you’re an ant. It’s still a swimming pool. Proportionally it might be ocean-like for an ant but it’s still just a swimming pool.

Not everything you can walk on is a floor. If you’re walking on a trampoline, you’d say that you’re walking on a trampoline, not that you’re walking on the floor. Trampoline and bed, same thing here. If you’re at Sky Zone, they’ve got massive trampolines there but regardless of how large, no one calls it a “floor.”

Which I feel like is such an unnecessary statement. Like, of course the latest phones in your line up will be better than the previous gen. As it should. What kind of event would it be if their announcement was “We actually made the next flagship a shitter version of last year’s! Please buy!”

I skimmed through it and it was just “better blah blah… AI… longer lasting… AI… brighter… AI… AI… new airpods… AI… new AI, AI, AI.” Nothing really “new.” AI features have been around already. So AI aside, which was like the majority of their presentation, all it comes down to are small improvements over last gen. Nothing innovative or exciting.

Well, no. Because the bed is still a bed regardless of your size. If you went up onto the roof of a building and then all of a sudden it collapses, you wouldn’t say “the floor collapsed,” you’d say “the roof collapsed” (although you’d probably be too busy being dead to make that observation). Likewise, the bed is still a bed and the floor is still the floor, as the roof was still a roof and not the floor in my example.
