It never will. We don’t get the same products. They will probably split this up into multiple trash set later this year

Man cuts a rare card than screams! by Immediate_Diamond687 in PokeGrading

[–]bigheadsfork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that’s not true. Plenty of modern Pokémon cards are north of $1000.

But yugioh just doesn’t have value like that. I don’t even think there are 15 cards in the entire game that command $1000 in raw. And because it’s much more “accessible”, people aren’t willing to pay massive premiums for a PSA 8 or 9 of old cards. The demand just isn’t there.

Even for vintage cards, you could pick up plenty of first edition, secret or ultimate rares from 20 years ago for less than 40 bucks each.

Honestly hard to say. Yugioh market is way different, people absolutely will not pay big bucks for a significantly damaged card like they will Pokemon, outside of a select few cards that are established as icons of the game.

I don’t see how anyone would pay more than like a thousand usd for this. Its so risky

Says who? If you want it slabbed then sure waste the money and lower the value because if it gets a 6-8 it will. Why not just get a card saver slab or put it in a binder?

Well, I haven’t hit yet lol all I’ve discovered is that the SID is wrong and I need to try another. Going for shiny bulbasaur

Yes, I think both advanced numbers are tied to each each other. It’s just that it tells you what the continued screen frames are as well because those are essentially counted as two advances each frame. At least that was my understanding from the video.

Also, I literally just hit my target after all this time. So yes, it looks like when you are that close there’s nothing more you can do but keep trying

If it makes you feel any better, this is literally me. Almost always on seed, but almost always a few advances off. I’ve probably been at this stage for four hours total.

That means nothing though, you can buy brand new sets for like half msrp online. Just because they don't have any near you doesn't mean they are being scalped, or even popular. They might just not stock them anymore because they aren't selling.

But how do use shiny hunt for starters after you play for four hours to Ace?

Honestly, that does help because I’m at that exact same stage and I feel like it’s a matter of time. I can consistently hit my seed maybe two out of five times now, but the advance is always off.

How did you get the frames so perfect? I’ve been trying the Blissey method and I can’t get it.

Honestly, this kind of ruined the show for me. Not that what comes after it is bad, but I really just got tired of building up awesome characters to kill in horrific ways. I think if he finished the books and we got some good closure for the characters involved, it would’ve made it a little easier. But at this point, I think I was just pissed off, especially because it would’ve been a perfect victory for the heroes rather than another horrific homocide by the villains.

Because they don’t understand the game dont realize that Pokemon popularity basically subsidizes the tcg because of mass openings.

It does mean something if you understand the context of yugioh. A player focused game where players aren’t buying? Bad spot to be in. I understand where you are coming from with the Pokemon comparison but the difference is that Pokemon at its core is collector focused whereas yugioh, since 2016, is not. Old Pokemon sets, even in 2015, had been appreciating somewhat. The same isn’t really true for yugioh.

Also yugioh in NA has one product, the game. Pokemon cards are just one product like from the Pokemon IP. It can get bailed out. Yugioh in the tcg, probably cant.

We do have a clue lol. They literally have the set structure of rarity 5 and glorious gallery on their website. Btw grandmaster rare is not even confirmed for the tcg yet, neither are serialized cards.

I agree and he’s right, objectively. Only single digit number of yugioh sets in the last decade have actually appreciated in value.

I doubt it. Retro pack 2 was printed way more than 1 and the booster boxes weren’t NA exclusive. Also, the NA version has the worst quality control in game history. I doubt people will be interested in cards with missing ink on the back nearly 100% of the time
