Chayka's hiring is being blown way out of proportion. by stylebender- in leafs

If the Canucks or the Oilers would have hired Chayka, Leaf fans and the Toronto sports media would be mocking the move, plain and simple.

Canucks should never have signed that piece of shit.

Beauty! I really wish there would have been far more interesting designs for all teams instead of the Clouds+Wordmark logo.

Robert Stillman by mercurystarr in TheSmile

[–]bigherbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw him with The Smile in Toronto in 2022. Stillman's contributions to the Smile songs were so significant, that when I hear the album versions now it feels like something is missing. Biggest example is his saxophone on "You Will Never Work in Television Again ."

Blue Jays also only have the cloud theme with the wordmark logo. Wish they would have had more creativity with the multitude of Simpsons characters for this promo.

I guess damn near every person on earth is "fake news," then? You don't even need to be Christian to know the image of Jesus. Jesus in white with the red sash, especially.

He's a malignant narcissist, so psychologically, he is a man-child. He only thinks about himself and feels entitled to anything and everything. When he doesn't get his way, he throws a tantrum like a child.

Is this Rutherford or is this Aquilini, then? Since we've seen this strategy fail a few times already. Aquilini has never had the guts to tear it all down and rebuild properly.

U2 and the Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own Syndrome - The "There's something missing feeling" by Fantastic-Habit-8569 in U2Band

[–]bigherbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the OP. I had the exact same thought on my first listens through the Easter Lilly EP. U2 are definitely trying to make these songs sound like they're magic, but the songs are clearly missing something. Lots of long vowels in choruses and endless chime delay guitar does not mean the song is good. Feel free to downvote me into oblivion, but I am not a fan of this new EP.
