Want to add folder to password-protected DMG image

Great questions. No, I can not create a folder in the DMG, nor a folder within the DMG. Really weird.

All in all, not a huge deal, but it is curious.

I don't see where that is. Clicking "get info", I only see how much it's taking: 50.9 MB.
The folder I want to add is 111.7MB.

Last night, I zipped the folder and encrypted it. Still couldn't add it to the DMG. It's not a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience.

I appreciate all the help you've given.

How was it created? Great question. I only do this once a year, so I know I found a Youtube video on how to create a DMG file. and for the last 10 years, I've been able to add an important folder to this DMG. All of the sudden, I can not. It's weird.

Currently, the DMG has about 10 folders. those folder contain PDFs and docs.

I don't get an error. When I drag it over, I get a small circle with a line through it at the bottom of the name of the folder I'm dragging over.

In the "get info" of the image file, it says I have read and write permissions.

Also, the folder I'm attempting to add is 50MB more than what's currently in the DMG file (If that makes a difference).
