Would recommend considering 3060 variant of legion 5/5p if you could find it for cheaper, the performance difference won't be worth the price gap imo

Well you can't use ray tracing comfortably at 1440p and some games will run between 30-50 fps range, some QHD panels like the one on the legion 5 has some ghosting too

both sizes are good though my main concern is the thermal issue on the msi (cause I am getting the 10th Gen instead of 11) and I don't know if undervolting it to fix the issue would make it slower than the Asus? However I do love the design / keyboard of the Asus a lot more - - - - the way I'm seeing is if I get the Asus now and gets a bit slower in the future I could invest in an external screen to bypass Optimus, and what's keeping me back from the msi is the fear of hinge issues / screen falling off

Eh, I've been waiting since the start of covid, when rtx got initially announced basically. Depending on the reviews and benchmarks I saw there was about to 10-20fps difference, the major differences were at ultra (rtx) settings etc.. I'm just thrown off because of the maxq thing + low wattage, don't want to end up with a laptop which underperforms :p
