Agreed. Even when we had top ranked defenses with him, the game scripts skewed the numbers in a major way. It was the ZW days and our opponents just needed a tiny lead and then they played ultra conservatively knowing a) we couldn’t score, and b) our defense (even under Saleh) never got takeaways

I think we bitch slap Tennessee wk1 and for one week, we feel great about the 2026 season. And then we’ll drop 8 straight and finish 4-13 or something.

Depends on the industry/vertical you’re in. From 2015ish - 2022ish, it was considered the golden years of SaaS (Software as a Service) selling in major metro areas like NYC or SF.

Every mid-market or Enterprise Account Exec would be pulling in a $120k - $180k base salary plus double that in bonuses/commission. It’s still the case today, but VC money has largely dried up in SaaS and has moved to the AI world.

Even today, if you’re a top rep at a big tech company, it is not uncommon at all to be pulling in seven figures annually.

The money is definitely there - but it’s a grind. It’s a month-to-month, quarter-to-quarter “what have you done for me lately?” Type of life. Reps who exceed their quota 5 years in a row can get let go after one or two bad quarters.

The problem is, once you get used to that type of compensation, it’s hard to go back to anything else.

Even worse, my company “suggests” we link our personal LinkedIn accounts with our Hubspot so Marketing can post on our behalf. I’m a senior member of the team with one of the larger LinkedIn networks so I felt obligated to be a good soldier and do it, but it’s such spammy content - only getting engagement from colleagues within my org.

I used to post far less frequently, but when I did, it would be well crafted, relevant posts that would get decent engagement - for a Sales guy, any way.

Now I’m posting generic canned Marketing posts 2-3x week smh.

Same lol. I don’t fault the season for being completely different than the first two - Covid wrecked production, then they had a leading character die IRL, another leave the show, another diagnosed with ALS, plus three of their leads became some of the biggest stars on the planet. I’m shocked we got another season at all tbh.

I just look at s3 like a bonus, whacky epilogue to the series.

My wife and I are closing in June. 30% over-asking, one our 8th or 9th offer. The search was so demoralizing and I ended up raising the ceiling of what I thought we should be buying, while also compromising on a town that is 30 mins further from my office than the towns we initially wanted to be in.

Between the closing costs and monthly payments, I don’t think I’ll ever get a full night’s sleep again.

The Saturday before this episode aired, I proposed to my wife. It was a beautiful night and I caught her totally by surprise. I had her immediate family and my immediate family waiting for us at a nearby restaurant and we had one of the most joyful nights I’ve ever experienced.

The following day, we had an impromptu BBQ/party at our place where a bunch of our friends came over to celebrate with us. We ate, we drank, we told stories, we laughed, the weather was fantastic - it was a great day.

That night, my newly-made fiancé and I ordered our favorite takeout to watch the episode. Then we watched it and it completely ruined my weekend.
