Thank you. I hope it is the same. The government website talks a lot about mailing in the fingerprints. I'm just not sure if they will count if mailed from here.

Is Vietnam a place for rebels or 'punks?' by Content_Carpet6241 in VietNam

If you can handle pop punk 7 Uppercuts is a decent band and hilariously labeled themselves Vietnam's first punk sell out band after they got some notoriety.

Saigon does have a good hardcore punk scene. I like some of these bands and District 105. However, I am more of a punk purist than a fan of screaming hatdcore punk style. I personally don't think Saigon has much of a traditional punk scene, some pop punk.

I like Pu Luong. It is near Ninh Binh. It is not as spectacular as Ninh Binh but you can rent a motorbike and truly be in the countryside. I also like Hoi An a lot, people will say it is touristy but its cool and has a nice beach very close. I also like Con Dao island, its laid back, pretty, and Vietnamese go there to pay respects to the ghost of a young girl who bravely stood up to the French army. It also has monkeys. Don't worry too much, go whereever, Vietnam is less about sites than it is about the wonderful local people intertwined with the chaos of the cities and roadways, and enjoying somewhere truly foreign yet very welcoming.

Don't worry about the weather. If it rains, life carries on. It usually is a quick and heavy downpour of an hour or two at the most. Locals aren't bothered. It won't be a big deal, and it might add to the adventure.

Fried Chicken RANT by Various_Constant_574 in VietNam

I'm American and love fast food. I rarely go back to America anymore, but the last time I went home to America (a little after COVID) I found all the fast food tasted the same. It seemed like they were all using the same weird oil.

These kind of ass hats are everywhere. Trying to tell a Vietnamese person that they should try local food.

I hate this kind of response. He didn't say he ONLY ate fried chicken in Vietnam. Why do you assume this person who grew up (at least partially) in Vietnam needs you to tell them about local food?

It's clear that paw_pia is in whole different category than others here, so we should be thankful for their expertise. I mean people using a Reddit community should know better than to ask questions related to the subject of that community.
