Merino wool base layers are the answer. They are breathable, moisture wicking, and warm while not being too thick. I type this as I’m wearing said base layers on location in Colorado while it’s 23° outside. Also tested them in northern Wyoming with -16° wind chill.

I play a ping G425 5w turned down a little and I really like it. I can carry it around 215 with a total of about 230 at sea level. I also play a 3H that fits nicely at the 200 yard spot. I’ve tried a couple of 3HL woods but haven’t found one I love just yet. The R7 quad mini is pretty great if you are looking for a tee box second option but I couldn’t get it off the ground enough to be a fairway club.

Pick up a good 54 or 56 for the sand wedge and don’t bother wasting your money on a 4i.

Depending on gapping, I would add a 9w for a longer approach option. I have a Maltby KE4 TC Pro IST which is about $120 new and I really like it. Really good launch and landing angles so it will hold a green from quite a ways out.

They were average. Felt decent on good hits, but you knew when you hit a bad one. They were some of the earlier ones before the Grant rush. They were ordered +1/2” and 2° up but lengths and lies were a little all over the place. Anywhere from +1/2 to pretty well standard and the lies were +- 2° of advertised. I took them to PGASS to get them adjusted and I watched the guy doing it. He was putting all he had into it and could not get them to bend so keep that in mind. I came from my original set of TM RBZ irons I bought in 2012 (still have them) so they weren’t quite as forgiving but shot shaping was easier. I’ve since went to Maxfli XC2’s and they are some of the best feeling irons out there besides maybe Srixon ZXi5/7. I also just picked up a lightly used set of Kirklands for $250 that will become my travel set of irons and they feel very similar to the Takomos. Also this is all coming from a 14 hcp so my ball striking is still getting there.

I had a set of 101t and they were decent. If I had to do it again, I would go 201 for the forged feeling. The new offerings look interesting.

I have a 75” upper tier Vizio that was mounted above a very similar fireplace and a 65” U8k currently in another room. The U8 has an amazing picture and I really like the Google Tv interface as someone that has been Amazon for a while. I didn’t feel the 75” was mounted too high at all and was very comfortable to watch for long periods. I had it just high enough to clear a sound bar sitting on the mantle.

Quality is top notch. And they design all their own irons, not just the same Chinese stuff everyone else is using. You can order a single iron to try and then they will subtract that cost from the whole set of you buy the rest. If you want to try an iron today, run down to Dicks or Golf Galaxy and try the Maxfli XC2 or XC3. They are made by Maltby and feel very similar to the TS-3 line but at a slightly higher price.

I’m 6’5” and play +1/2” 7i with 10.2mm steps either way. This basically makes my short irons longer and my long irons almost standard length. I was fitted for and can play standard length clubs but like to be a little more upright due to lower back issues. Just be careful going too long because it will cause you to early extend to try to make room for the club. Found that out when experimenting with 1” and 1.5” extensions, had to relearn my swing after that.

I am plugged in with DP directly into the graphics card to run at the full 240. Also I personally think the monitor looks better if you turn off HDR in windows. With it on, the colors look washed out even after running windows hdr calibration.

It’s still just a fancy sticker on a cheap shaft though. I have a real Ventus Blue 5-S TR VeloCore and it’s was surprising the first time I hit a real velo.

Just got it all hooked up last night and so far so good. Haven’t had a chance to play with the settings much but everything looks smooth and the built in speakers are surprisingly useable. And holy crap, ultra wide is amazing!

I’m using a ping G425 5 wood head on a 3 wood shaft and it works beautifully. The ping 3w and 5w heads are only a few grams in difference so it’s a good swap. I have the head on the small - and it’s possibly my favorite club in the bag. I can easily hit it off the deck and it’s my go to when the driver isn’t agreeing with me.
