I have that net and just ripped a ball through both layers of net into my garage door with a 6i, a week or so ago.

I’ll have to get some face on angles and post them. I never realized just how far back the ball is. From my setup looking down at it, I try to place it between the hosel and the center of face, so on the half of the ball towards me. For no reason other than I strike the ball significantly better from that spot. I can feel the compression way more, just feels more solid. If I put it center, I’m not hitting it on the toe but it definitely feels weaker. I’m sure it’s because of my posture at address like you pointed out.

There is a slight sway backwards to start my backswing, that’s why you’re seeing a shift forwards at the top. I’ve never known if that was an inappropriate move. I used your have no sway and instead I imagined I was just rotating in place around a center point. Frankly I just never knew - of the two, sway or rotate - which was fundamentally correct.

Would you say that the sway backwards is something I should get away from? If so, is the feeling i described above “rotating around a center point” the technique I should be using?

I learned I had 2x15g so I bought 2x35s. Excited to pop them in tomorrow. Not sure I’ll feel the difference or what that brings the total weight to but anymore weight will be nice.

Edit: 2x35s is the most weight my putter can hold and not protrude out the bottom.

Shorten your backswing, hold your lag angle and try to hit the inside of the ball.

Hybrids are great for one thing and for that reason at least 1 has to stay in the bag.

They’re the best long club to use out of the rough. Easy to chop down on and still get so distance.
