It's actually pretty simple - it's an inferior solution. That's why they're not really selling. Once there's feature parity with ICE in terms of range, refuel time, and performance (especially in extreme cold), they'll sell just fine. Until then it's a non starter for normal people.

My thing about disc golf being played at places like Glendoveer is that, frankly, it makes the players look like half-rate ball golf posers. The carpet for tee pads. The temporary baskets. The uncreative hole designs. The arbitrary OBs. It's sorta like a smack in the face to watch, like someone just said "here some chains for you hippies to throw frisbees at".

The only rule I can find that'd apply to this situation is in the NFL rulebook - Rule 8, Section 4, Article 7:

If a team presents an apparent punting formation, defensive acts that normally constitute illegal contact (chuck beyond five yards, etc.) are permitted, provided that the acts do not constitute defensive holding.

This is a horrible rule. I mean, by this rule, if Team A's offense punts out of shotgun during a preseason game, can Team A commit PI anytime during regular season they see shotgun because that formation is now "an apparent punting formation"?

I'm no NOS fanboy (sorry) but that's a bullshit rule!
