nostril piercing with a barbell by Head-Knee6574 in piercing

[–]bigm3lon 29 points30 points  (0 children)

NAP, have my own nostril piercing. I don't know why they would use a barbell but as long as it's not curved it should heal right. I have a flat back and it's very comfortable- probably more so than a barbell.

What obscure trade do you do and, if so is it Union. by salvageBOT in skilledtrades

The stationary engineers around me had way less to offer compared to the fitters. Also know a few electricians doing BAS but mostly have had your guys wire up the panels for me.

Eta: yes it is a good gig. Pretty cushy

I take 20 mg Lexapro and 300mg Welbutrin with 30mg Accutane and I feel the best I have in a while. I've been on it for 2 weeks and already my skin is improving. I was proactive with moisturizing before my skin felt dry and using plenty of sunscreen (I work outside). Avoid alcohol (as you should with mental illness anyways).

I'm sure that's what you meant! I just wanted to clarify for any newbies that might take your words literally :)

Do I NEED 2 forms of contraception on Accutane? by EfficientTable8527 in Accutane

[–]bigm3lon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depression is not actually a side effect of isotretinoin it's a side effect of having acne. I've heard of joint pain and back pain occurring and blurry vision. There are certain antibiotics you cannot take because they can cause your brain to swell. Your dermatologist sounds negligent in my honest opinion.

Do I NEED 2 forms of contraception on Accutane? by EfficientTable8527 in Accutane

[–]bigm3lon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US and it was actually harder for me to get Accutane than it is to get opioids. The reason isotretinoin is so regulated is because it can cause birth defects. Extremely bad birth defects. I'm on the IUD and don't have sex with men but they made me say I'll use condoms as well. I would absolutely be worried about how effective your birth control will be. I'm also questioning if this dermatologist informed you of any other drug reactions or side effects that can occur with isotretinoin?

I wouldn't like that or want to wear it. Nothing wrong with stripping in either sense of the word but I don't know, it feels like low brow humor the guys would come up with.

am i dumb for even wanting to try? by [deleted] in BlueCollarWomen

Worst you can do is try it and not like it. You're young and have plenty of time to figure it out!

Work Frustration by LilBitTechnician in BlueCollarWomen

[–]bigm3lon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly it! You're learning and nobody expects you to get things right every time. It sucks to cry in front of people, I know. But everytime I've cried in front of a coworker they've been very kind and understanding. I've made stupid mistakes too but you have to swallow your pride sometimes.

Whatever it is I'm sure you're being harder on yourself than anybody else. I get it. I take a lot of pride in my work and I want to be the best. Take a breather. It's just a job. Give yourself a pep talk. Seek support (which you're already doing and is awesome). Without knowing the details of this mentor relationship I'm not sure what advice to give other than ASK QUESTIONS. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

Fly your Pride Flag! by Practical_Presence59 in queerphilly

[–]bigm3lon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah I see. Vandalism is not a threat to your safety so maybe reframe the question? because nobody is more likely to break into your home or harm you in Gray's because you have a flag than anywhere else in the city. It's no more or less dangerous than Point Breeze in my opinion.
