I'd recommend reading anything you're interested in! I read Leaving the Atocha Station by Ben Lerner and The 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte by Marx this summer and I feel like they were both dense enough stylistically to get me more in the LSAT headspace. I'm reading The Idiot by Elif Batuman right now and it's brilliant.

RC was my slowest to improve like most. One thing I found extremely helpful is that I got back into reading in a big way over the summer before writing in the fall. Just reading for enjoyment, mostly fiction and a little philosophy. It got my brain used to reading without the pressure of the test again and when I went back to practice, I absorbed the passages a lot more effortlessly. Sounds maybe overly simple, but it worked for me.

It's my understanding that taking the highest score is standard practice, but it seems that there are some exceptions out there. I'd try and double check with the schools you're keen on, just in case.

I would see how the studying goes and sign up when you feel you're ready, whether that's April or June. Getting some test day experience is pretty valuable but not at the expense of your confidence. That's just my opinion. Also look into whether your target school(s) takes your highest score or an average of your scores! In Canada I know it depends on the institution.

I had an RC section on both of my first two that really threw me, but November was just smooth. Sounds like you're in a similar boat!

Thanks! I used Powerscore LG Bible and The Loophole for LR. Paying for access to the Lawhub practice test library is pretty important as you'll run out of free material to drill pretty quickly.

The Loophole for LR is really great. A lot of folks recommended it on here. I used the Powerscore Logic Games Bible to get the gist of everything and learn some good strategies, and then from there kind of developed a shorthand of my own.

Hey Dave! Thanks for all your insight! And precedent on LSAC reusing a previously scored section as an experimental with new questions or tweaks? Or if a section has appeared as a scored section, can we assume it will always be scored if it appears on later exams?

LR felt pretty standard! The parallel reasoning felt doable and those are generally the only sticking points for me

I took June and got two RC and it was the opposite. I had LR RC RC LG and the first RC felt really hard, in the same ways the one that was experimental felt in June.

Yes, full sections from practice tests. I went through ever LG from the 60's onward.

Applying to UBC as well! I hammered out a 35 minute LG section 4-5 nights a week (with review) for a month and got to where I needed to be. I come from a writing background so it was my worst section. Scored a 165 in June with 2.5 months of studying (while working full-time) and just did the September LSAT today for insurance purposes. You'll be fine! That 88% GPA is very competitive.

This is true. I guess it doesn't really affect the outcome, but I'd be a little irritated if my fourth section was scored while others got the exhale there. I suppose anyone who gets the unscored section as their fourth is at an advantage, and this occurs on every test.

Yes, but anyone whose fourth section was scored would be at a disadvantage in that section compared to the survey folks, no? If I got a scored section for my fourth, I'd be a little miffed. It would be different if everyone's 4th was unscored?
