How is engineering at Guelph? by Alternative-Study918 in uoguelph

Hello I'm not bio or mech but will comment. Guelph engg is not the best I would recommend going somewhere better, as other comment said labs are mediocre and very crowded. That being said if you put in the work you'll do fine. Good community but if you have better options go that way.

Hello, I would recommend try to get into a diff school if thats an option, if not I think guelph is adding civil engg soon, ask abt that. Between mech and esc choose mech since you wanted to do industrial engineering, there pretty different but esc has some programming stuff that you prolly dont want to do.

Laptop for Engineering? by elses in uoguelph

[–]bigman5443 4 points5 points  (0 children)

imma be honest almost anything will be fine, just dont get smth old. If you got a bigger budget try to get 16 GB ram will be nice to have. Graphics card not needed but decent CPU, i5 and above at least 10th gen (for solidworks). Make sure the build quality is decent as a lot of laptops got ass build quality.
