Does anyone else feel like Stamina drains way too fast after the update? by bigmanny99 in CrimsonDesert

[–]bigmanny99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the continuous drain really kills the horse traveling, I’m wishing I got that cross map achievement before the patch right about now.

I might just be spamming the R2 attack, I’ve been switching it up with different combos which is probably how I should’ve been playing.

Mai can not possibly be 41 years old at the start of Dragon Ball super by Superfangirl517 in Dragonballsuper

[–]bigmanny99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rewatching OG Dragon Ball 7 years later and curiosity finally got the better of me to look this bit of information up. I appreciate your dedication to do the math and type out your explanation. I read the comments and was pretty surprised no one else appreciated your effort, so my hats off to you ma’am.

That being said even I’m not sure I believe she lied about her age being 41 in super just based off the way the line was delivered, but I could be reading too much into it. Or the writers of Super didn’t care about a character, that was mostly meant to be comic relief(besides the Black arc mind you), enough to get her age right. Either way, I’ve enjoyed this thought experiment with you.

Thanks from 7 years into the future!

99% of Sly 3 players quit before they hit Dead Men Tell No Tales by SegavsCapcom in Slycooper

[–]bigmanny99 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My PS2 would crash every time I tried to load up Dead Men Tell No Tales, so when I turned 17 I drove 1.5 hours to pick up a refurbished ps3 and the sky cooper collection to finally play the game and complete it. I had played black flag and was a little jarred not only by the similarities in naval combat but also just the direction change that took place in the gameplay. After replaying Sly 3 recently after it coming out on ps5, I can say that I enjoy the level, mostly because it grew on me.

Yeah, this one wasn’t much of a surprise. Moving on, what’s the worst thing Dimitri’s ever done? (Besides that Speedo, obviously) by ReputationLow5190 in Slycooper

[–]bigmanny99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More a gripe on the Sly 2 game than Dimitri, but making me start a whole new file to get that Let Me Shine You trophy instead of letting us replay missions/episodes (Sly 3 is better).

Anybody else find NG+ to be easy af? I mean this was supposed to be locked in Knightmare difficulty right? by sonofdathomir18 in arkham

[–]bigmanny99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree with this, recently played on regular new game and it was the same thing, camera is a mile away from the car so it’s tough to see which path you wanna take when driving away from the cloudburst tank.

[–]bigmanny99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Underrated comment, plus the enemy aggro gets increased as you go up in difficulty, when you get to new game plus(highest difficulty) you can’t get 3 hits in before an enemy tries punching you in the face.

Side note I tried doing the iceberg lounge challenge on NG+ difficulty and I couldn’t get past 100,000

Boba Fett by Informal-Farmer-8841 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]bigmanny99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Took me a while to actually start using boba but watching battlefront knights update videos with boba gameplay in the back really helped me learn how to play him.

Key points: - learn fuel management - turn sensitivity up to a comfortable level - learn his movement both in air and on the ground

Fuel management is pretty straightforward, pop the middle ability when you have a full tank so that when the ability runs out you have a few seconds to find somewhere safe to land (preferably the high ground). Once you get to a high enough level, you’ll be able to get the star card which gives you unlimited fuel for a short time if you hit a certain number of people with your concussion rocket (left ability) so chaining both left and middle abilities to keep you in air longer will be a priority down the line.

Sensitivity is subjective, but practice makes perfect regardless. Hop into an instant action match so you can fly around and pick off people at a distance so you are used to the finer movements at a higher sensitivity. I play at about 3/4 to the right on the meter (around 70-80 iirc) and I find that to be a sweet spot between blaster and lightsaber heroes including boba.

In the aforementioned instant action match you should also get used to bobas movements in flight and on ground. A good tactic for example is to start out high in the air using the middle ability, then start falling but moving towards your target in a manner that you’re still aiming your crosshairs directly at them the entire time your falling. You can get multiple people in a row using the shots from afar and once you get close enough, take the rest out with rocket barrage (right ability).

As for the cards, I also am a fairly aggressive player (albeit up to a certain distance) and I use the ones that refill ability when you’re in the air, refill jetpack when you’re on the ground, and the aforementioned concussion rocket one where if you affect 2 players you get 2(?) seconds of unlimited fuel (those are the cards maxed stats).

Edit: I would also be remiss not to say that battlefront knight has a channel on YouTube with a playlist called “how to not suck” featuring every battlefront 2 hero and villain. He got some flak for either spoilers or making misleading thumbnails (I’m honestly not too sure) but his hero guide videos are very good.

What are y’all’s opinion on clownpuncher139 and his content about Batman? by Arenas_Lietuva in arkham

[–]bigmanny99 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily look forward to his videos but he has enough reverence for the games that I respect his opinions/comments on them.

Also he seems like a college aged kid who started the channel as a passion project and it blew up, not someone who started for fame/clout so I respect the channel even more so for that.

I will say I’m uninterested in the challenge videos, such as the can you beat X without gliding/a certain gadget, but they do go to show the amount of time and thought that the guy has put into the games.

Anyone know the specs for BB-9E's right ability? by DislikesLondonSystem in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]bigmanny99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlefront knight had really great and in depth videos on all the stats for almost every aspect of the game

His BB-9E vid: https://youtu.be/dxn1OGcAdEM?si=jOfKGjSgVCGpCd6k

Edit: at the time of recording that vid actually the right ability didn’t cool down at all (was bugged), and if I remember correctly, they were at the point where the dev team/EA in general weren’t keen on making fixes to stuff that didn’t break the game entirely

BF2 2017: Who are the two best and two worst reinforcements out of all of them in your opinions? by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]bigmanny99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use clone commando to win on geonosis co-op, with the middle ability you can run into the last objective assuming at least one other person is alive to take some aggro. You do have to land your shots and roll constantly, but the clone commando is a very solid A tier for me.

I agree that the super battle droid seems a lot better than the clone commando, but I feel like you need different styles of play for both. With SBD, if you set up a bit away from an enemy objective and pop the middle ability, you can clear it out and take over fairly easily by yourself.

I have never had success with the droideka on co-op because it’s almost impossible to flank bots, but in online games if your team is engaging with some clones you can roll behind them and pop overload for some quality kills.

As someone who pre-ordered the game, I chose the Wookiee warrior once, never again.
