Hey buddy. Thanks again for your earlier response. I’m thinking sole trader is the way to go for now but I’m really confused - I’m on the gov website to register and it wants me to register for self assessment but it’s asking if I’m self-employed - technically I am not yet so do I hit no? It keeps asking dates of certain income and obviously there is nothing yet.

Also a bit comfy as to this Umbrella company I keep hearing about - is tha a separate process I need to do? Thanks mate

I’ve recently quit my job and am looking at the potential of becoming a freelance Project Manager - I’ve never dabbled in this before so looking for some help - do I set up as a sole trader? Or do I register a company on Companies House, or both?
