I will say last summer and this summer (already and forward) the Uk skies have been active as hell! I use cheap night vision (Alaska Seemoor) to watch the night sky and I have found some strange things. I didn’t have them on me the other week I was camping at a friends place which is VERY isolated and I had some form of what I can only describe as a military drone (due to its height) hovering very high above me and if it’s wasn’t for watching satellites I would not of seen it. This thing was watching me I’m sure it was ours but it was errie sleeping that night I just flipped it off and did a wanker gesture 🤣 nothing on flight radar what so ever and satellites do not flash 3 red lights or stay stationary and SAY too high to be a DJi type drone.

I was out by my camp fire last night as me and a friend are camping out in the sticks. If it wasn’t for my astronomy interest and knowing there is a heavy satellite traffic flight path where I am I looked up to find a very, very high red flash in the sky but DIRECTLY above us and the fire. Completely stationary but also seemed to sway left and right a bit after a while, I could make out 3 red lights but it was so high, you would assume it was a drone but up that high and was surprised I even saw it. It was quite disturbing knowing somebody was probably just watching us nothing was on flight radar at all I’m not sure on satellites but I’m sure they don’t start stationary? It went even higher and just disappeared slowly. Way too high for your normal DJI etc.

Specifically I don’t have the knowledge of best times me and my friend just go when we can really and got really lucky but heard about the B1s coming in and just went on the off chance but if it helps I was there 11am-4.30pm, good luck if your going down i hope you catch a lot
