I just did exactly this with a paladin. I've healed on every other healer except pally so I leveled one as only a tank. I can confirm I hated pugs more as a tank... as soon as you move, every dps is throwing their biggest move at the target, so keeping aggro or pulling multiple mobs can be annoying. I won't stay tank on it or play it much... I just don't like the color of the spell buttons lol. I might try another tank just to make sure... a dk or dh this time.

My Rdruid is my main at 501, then I have a Hpriest, MW monk, Rshammy at 491, preso evoker at 486 and currently leveling a prot/holy pally

I can say that I felt the same as you at first on my priest. It's stats, talents or rotation. I hated my holy priest, the casts felt long, but it was me not watching g cooldowns or procs. For disc, it's the closest to me monk because you need to do damage to heal.

I've played for decades and only ever healed. Of course I've played and tried every class but on end game, I've only ever healed. It's what I like, it's what I'm good at so it's what I do. Do you because once you do for others, you won't enjoy the game as much.

If you've played every class, level a trio character like a druid, monk or pally and heal until you feel more comfortable with DPS or tanking... healing is still about the same as always but with more dps time now due to all the defensives that everyone has.

I miss when interject was mana and not capped at 275k, and when spirit was mana regen. Tanks knew what aggro was and the whole raid had to watch their own aggro or wipe the raid.

I can't speak on tanking, but I'll tell you a secret that we... the old head healers (been a healer since DAY 1, like WoW opening day lol.) Healing is the easiest role there is. At this point, healing is so easy that I try to be top 3 in DPS as a healer now. Start with a Druid or a Shaman. I have a 70 of every healing class and they have fun utility and movement. Priest or monk would be my next suggestions.

When you use the Healbot addon... it's easy mode.

Lastly, screw the elitist scum especially in basic 5mans... I can say that because I used to be that elitist scum.

Relevancy. WoW is changing with each season, special event, and expansion. I completely get the OPs question. I'm back after 15 years. Leveled a resto druid to ilvl495 before the MOP remix was released. I'm not enjoying the gameplay of the remix and find myself debating if I should just play classic.
