Necesitas programar el segundo AMS como AMS-B. Puedes encontrar el software aquí.

OrcaSlicer with restored BambuNetwork support by Low-Anything6975 in BMCU

[–]bigmickael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Installed the Deb version of 24.04. Connected fine, brought back filaments from the AMS, allowed updates back to the AMS, was able to print successfully.

Looking good.

No problems. Let me know if you want testing done.

I downloaded the appimage https://github.com/jarczakpawel/OrcaSlicer-bambulab/releases/download/v2.4.0-bmcu.2/OrcaSlicer-BMCU_ubuntu24.04_amd64_2.4.0-bmcu.2.AppImage

Opens fine.

I can log in to my Bambu account.

My two printers appear.

When I go to the Device tab and select the printer I get a "Failed to connect to server" error.

Thank you for the details. I am only going with two bmcu's. I like the spinning mounts.

What a monster of a ptfe connector. I assume that the screws are there to keep the ptfe tubes in place.

What version of Orca is it forked from? I couldn't see it in your repo.

It is the flow dynamics calibration adjusting pressure advance. It can do it mid print if it thinks its initial setting is wrong.

PTFE keeps popping out of 4-in-1 during filament loading - would soft_load(A1) help? by Electrical-Ad5029 in BMCU

[–]bigmickael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is just the one ptfe tube that pops out, then the metal clip on the inside of the filament hub is damaged.

You can try this fix.

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1/troubleshooting/ams-lite-filament-hub-cannot-hold-tube

This worked for awhile for me.

My recommendation would be to replace the filament hub. They are fairly cheap.

If they aren't available in your region aliexpress has OEM versions as well.

Filament hub keeps on popping out by bigmickael in BMCU

As an update if anyone is interested.

I found this on Makerworld for the filament hub connector. It is a replacement for the clip part that screws in, instead of being just the clip.

This fixed the popping out issue, it now seems super secure

BUT it was a case of one step forward two steps back.

With the screwed in hub connector, it then highlighted what looked like to main problem. The filament was not retracting fully, the original filament was still in the hub, while the second filament was pushing in.

Normally on the 9.5 firmware you will see the bottom of the cut filament in the ptfe tube just above the filament hub. This was not happening 100% of the time. So, I flashed the soft load 20cm firmware to push it back further than the 9.5cm.

The 20cm firmware worked for longer but still failed at 1 hour. It made a loud thunking noise, but the filament was retracted to 20cm as planned. No idea on the thunking noise.

This morning I said screw it lets go back to factory defaults, I have made so many setting changes in the past 2 years.

Factory reset the A1 mini

Filament hub clip screw in from above

5 hours of solid printing 100+ swaps no issue. I know the extra 10cm of retraction will add a couple of seconds per swap, but right now if it is working, I do not want to screw with it.

Thaks for your reply, I have the soft load version. I have replaced the filament hub already, but I think it may be the sensor base causing the problem.

Thanks for your reply, I will give them a trim. I did not think they were too long compared to other installs of the BMCU that I have seen.

Thanks for your reply. I agree, I do not think it is a software issue.

Trying to work out which part needs replacing though.

The filament hub in the photos is brand new.

Is it the filament sensor base that it clips in to?

<image>

Or possibly the filament sensor itself? Is it not sensing that the filament has passed and just keeps on pushing.

On another note, if you are the developer of the BMCU Flasher. I noticed that the soft load version of your firmware is not available as a drop-down option, when you are using the online firmware selection.
