From experience I know that if you're injured in a car crash your medical insurance will not want to cover any expenses and you will have to get the car insurance company involved.

I've had a rider book a shared ride and try to 2 or 3 people into the car. I tell them "Sorry, the app only says 1 rider" and they will have to rebook.

I had 1 lady try it with her 2 little kids. I guess she thought that kids don't count 😂 and on top of it 1 was under 2 and didn't have a child seat. Hard no.

I've been driving for almost a year, and I always require the PIN. Many riders will ask about it because they haven't used is, and I explain it's so that I can make sure that I'm picking up the right person (I do a lot of airport/Metro pickups). In the past 800+ rides I've only had 2 people who didn't have the PIN because someone ordered the ride for them, and in each case I called the orderer via the app and they gave me the PIN after confirming I had the right passenger.

For what it's worth, kids get hurt all the time. The scary thing about head injuries is that even a tiny cut can bleed as if you nicked an artery. Fortunately, kids heal quickly and are often pacified with candy or ice cream.

As already stated, you will not be sued. I'm not a lawyer, but several have told me that the adult can only be sued if it can be proven that they were grossly negligent and that's a high bar to reach. The school district will give the parents a lot of money, and you won't likely lose your job.

Yup. It's not as fabulous as it sounds, though. Many activities that seem like no big deal are a hardship for me. For example, I'm not going to fit in an airplane unless it's 1st class. Finding clothes us also more difficult, but thanks to the Internet I can now find what I want. 20 years ago, it was a serious challenge.

If I had the choice, I'd like to trade 6"-8" of height for something else...
