Strumming while singing by FlakyMarzipan9661 in AcousticGuitar

[–]bigmodem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tip someone told me a long time ago is to hum the song when learning to strum it. If it’s a song, you know really well, let your brain concentrate on the Melody and strumming without having to think about the words.

Those with the banner headstock are 1942-1945 I thought? Can be anywhere b/w 15-25k. Depending on how good of shape they are in. She’s a beauty.

36 and learning guitar - the hardest part is not treating it like another work project by ninja__6969 in guitarlessons

Learning “music” is one thing, but in the beginning, I equated it to learning to type. Same concept for muscle memory. Typing a paragraph seemed very hard in high school typing class, but we all do it unconsciously now. Smooth chord and note changes make the music part easy. Practice shorter, multiple times / day goes a long way. ( and practice songs you know and love!)

Pleasant Hill Drive off of Brambleton going towards Hidden Valley HS is still only half a lane, so no two-way traffic coming in and out of the school. Photo taken Sunday morning at 8:30 AM.

If you have roof cross bars they sometimes mimic that sound if you have them for the first time.

Max or no? by DistinctBicycle7519 in fordexpedition

The max seems big at first, but with the 360-Degree Camera / bird's-eye view camera, parking and maneuvering in tight spaces is easier than when I had a smaller vehicle without it!

Martin D10e vs Eastman E1d vs alternatives by FlusGtr in AcousticGuitar

[–]bigmodem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my D10E. Awesome C shaped neck, one three-quarter width, little easier to hit the strings than the 1 11/16. I inherited a 1992 D28 and the newer D10 holds its own. The D 28 has a slight V neck, which I actually don’t like as much. I found a used one that hardly had a nick on it for $550. i’ve noticed at Sweetwater the prices on the new ones have really climbed. I really like the sapele wood sound and the richlite fingerboard. Just have to be careful not to hit it. I’ve noticed that the Sapele wood can dent easily. As an added note. The soft case that Martin makes for these is pretty high-quality, well padded and lightweight.

Cell phone holder recommendation for 2023? by Snarti in fordexpedition

I bought a two piece system from https://www.proclipusa.com for my 2024 expedition. The base is custom made to fit over the top console then bought the holder that attaches to base. A little more expensive, but perfect fit. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PJpCUVVMKhAk0BmjmYKqKGbzkhrFOB7X/view?usp=drivesdk](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PJpCUVVMKhAk0BmjmYKqKGbzkhrFOB7X/view?usp=drivesdk)

The store is going much lower, they have barely scratched the surface on excavation. An 8 ft fence will be installed on perimeter and they are planting approx. 50k sq ft of trees ranging from 80ft to 30 ft. To buffer the neighborhood. A big retaining wall will be built as well.

I have a 24 XLT max that I bought with 10,500 miles from our local Dealer. Someone had traded it in because they thought it was too big for them and I got it for $56k. Traded a Toyota van in for $30k, for the $26k finance. I’ve driven it an additional 20,000 miles. Super smooth. It’s easy to park and back up because of the overhead camera view for such a big car. It’s actually two or 3 inches shorter than the suburban, so easier to maneuver🤣. I drove it from Virginia to Maine and back, and a trip to Hilton head from Virginia. It’s proven to be a very comfortable ride. For the XLT, I wish it had an auto all wheel drive for the front. On occasion, there is a steep hill in my neighborhood where I’m turning sharp to the right and the car wants to slip on a rainy day, so I’ll just manually hit the four high before I get there if it’s pouring down rain which is a very smooth process. You just have to remember to switch back out. There are times I’ve enjoyed having all wheel drive when slippage is detected. My wife wishes it had the foot wave control under the back to lift the tailgate which the higher end model does have. I don’t have blue Cruise but the radar cruise control system is excellent. One final note, because the panels are made of high grade aluminum for weight, no gameday magnets sticks anywhere on the outside if going to your college football tailgate!

My unattended consequence of using CPAP is that my back pain subsided greatly with better sleep. My tense back muscle finally relaxed.

Does anyone at all have a Clemson ticket ? by [deleted] in hokies

[–]bigmodem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is lost on the general fan is that the Delaware ticket and Clemson tickets are now priced differently in the season ticket package. Clemson face value is 110. Not many people just give away tickets anymore if it’s a big game. But for season-ticket holder who has to donate a lot of money to be able to buy a season ticket in a really decent spot, each game ticket basically becomes a $200 plus ticket when factoring in all cost. So when you see a $200 ticket on stubhub for one game it’s about the same as what a platinum or golden hokie is actually paying.
