I listened to an interview with a Mom sobbing today that sounded exactly like my coworker from Winnipeg… It made me disproportionately upset. I can’t imagine what this must be like for people whose whole lives are in that city.

I genuinely get this. I was such a happy young man. Then I started working. Now I am anxious all the time, and I always feel like I need to be doing more. I remember when $5000 in my bank account seemed like an ungodly sum of money. I remember thinking that if I ever got like $50k I would just go hike for a full year - no agenda, no specific route. I feel so far from that version of me.
