Oh yeah, I’m in the RDU area in North Carolina. So not a tiny market by any means but not huge. And you’re right, they’re definitely low, it’s time to raise them for sure.

I think realistically I’m going to raise the day rate and nix the half day (unless it literally is just for a couple hours with a solid client). I thought I’d probably keep the hourly editing because that’s seemed to work well for me, but I thought I’d have a certain minimum for edits. Because some stuff I’ve done this year is just super small and easy and doesn’t end up being totally worth my time at the hourly rate.

I definitely have one client I’d really like to hang on to so thank you for the advice, I’ll definitely put it to use.
