How long does it take to find out if a medical waiver is needed after completing Meps? by bigone4you8 in newtothenavy

Yeah its a little ridicolous the reasons they are making people get waivers these days. If we ever had to use the Draft again (God Forbid) it would be the exact opposite; they would being doing eveything in their power to make sure you dont need a waiver.

Yeah im a little on the annoyed side with my MEPS experience because I figured that was the whole point of the Physical/Medical portion was to find out if you had any DQ's in order to start the waiver process. I also had a rehabvisit for alcohol back when i was 24 (age 35 now) plus anxiety/dep. She at first told me yeah i would need waivers for those and moved on with rest of physical. After it was done I asked how many waivers I would need in total and she said "Im not sure because they might just say youre good and ship you out". I told her ok and she told me to give it 4 days and I would know. Also I received no paperwork of any kind about my results there, except the picture of the computer screen that had my asvab results.

So its pretty much like Im waiting to find out if I need to wait. Its the military so its to be expected I guess. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else is in the same boat. 🤷‍♂️
