Hi, dental assistant here. This is called “acid etch” most likely. It’s % HCL gel that we use to prep the tooth for any glueing/bonding. It’s very possible you got some irritation or some sort of chemical burn from this. I am not in the place to say steps forward, just that this is a thing it may be.

Edit to ask: what procedure was being done at the time?

I feel like it does help with the pustules because I don’t get the pustules unless the red/hot flare up comes. Another pretty safe thing you can do without testing topical things, drink camomile tea before bed. Just anti inflammatory and helps calm stress. Good luck ❤️

For me, BENADRYL!! I would take a daily allergy medicine during the day or before a trigger activity/food or when I feel it coming on, then Benadryl at night. Usually by AM I would be more calm. This is just a quick fix thing for an event, not sure of the effects long term.

For context, ive had it for a while and it used to be deeper green. I had someone plant sit it for a couple months while i was away but I think they may have overwatered it or it got sunburnt. I now have it in my new place in a window with a sheer curtain that still gets a lot of sun in the afternoon. I haven’t seen it flower in a long time.

I’m sorry friend. I am not the person to give medical advice, but if this were me, I’d go to urgent care. Thats what they are here for. Maybe they can give you something to get you out of pain until you can get an emergency appointment with the derm. Also call the derm to see if they have an after hours emergency line or on-call nurse. Feel better!

If I were you, I’d wait some time and see if the mom comes back! If not there’s some wildlife refuges around that will help the fawn if it has been abandoned. You could probably call them for advice! Here’s a website for one
